Very friendly staff and perfect location, however tiny room with no window and owner came into our room when we were out? However would still use again as price is so cheap...

When we got there it wasn't called what it was meant to be, hell I don't even know if I stayed in the right place. I stayed somewhere though, so it wasn't too bad!

small, muffy and humid rooms. booked a special type of room, which was not available at check-in day. gave me a suitcase-big room with view of the next-door room. despite the very friendly owner i do not recommend this hostel!

If you want to see a lot of Hong Kong choose this hostel, because you won't feel like spending a lot of time in neither the room or the hostel.

The showers are dirty and the room isnt that clean either. The location is excellent tho. There r other hotels in...

We had a wonderful stay at the hostel. The room was very clean and comfortable and there was great waterpressure and a hot shower. The staff was so friendly and helpful. It made for a very great stay in Hong Kong. I would recommend a stay here for an affordable and comfortable accomodation.

Definitely one of the better places in the mansions - the room was clean albeit tiny. The shower door was broken. AC worked...doesn't open until 9am, so make sure to let them know when you wil arrive.

The dorm room at first night was not available, but the manager fixed the problem. For the other nights, I stayed in a tiny room. Kind of gloomy. The bathrooms are mixed with the toilets. Except this, it is very good located and cheap.

I booked a 3 room dorm and got a private room which was 3 ft x 5 ft. The staff made me feel like they were doing me a big service by giving me my own room and got really rude. Nothing like the pictures shown on the site. Also, none of the amenities listed on the site. Very misleading.

Chunking Mansion has many hostels under different names, but all run by the same group. I was told by another person staying there that our's was the best in the building, and if it is true I feel sorry for the others. The mattresses were about as comfortable as a few layers of cardboard, and anytime anyone in the room moved the beds rattled and creaked, keeping everyone up. A family lived in the room adjacent to ours and had to walk through ours to access theirs. No locks on the doors and no lockers in sight made me feel wary of theft every time I left the room. There was only one bathroom/shower for the entire floor and no common area for people to relax. The only saving grace was our roommates were very nice and entertaining given the circumstances. I would recommend people spend a little more and avoid staying here- your sanity and your back will thank you.close
