The building scares but is nice actually. I recomend for low budget travelers. The zone is amazing

It was terrible, an absolute dump! we all got bed bugs! if you like your safety dont stay here! at least two randon people had key to our room and let themselves in at all hours of the night! look up chungkung maisons in the lonly planet books for hong kong, its say that this place is so bad you...

The hostel is very clean and very handy located. The rooms are extremely small, so maybe it's not the best value. The people here are very friendly and you can even use the shower even though you're checked out. Excellent!

I have been in Hong Kong many timrs, and Hong Kong Star Hostel is by far the best I have ever experienced. The staff are so friendly and willing to help, feels like being with family. The location is super near all the great shopping places and very near the metro station. There is daily room...

Really dirty, awful double room (too much better dormitory), good location but not common room, not fun, no keys for the rooms, dangerous area, no facilities just rooms.

Overall a good hostel for single rooms but if in a dorm room you are packed in to where you can touch both people sleeping next to you. It was nice but not great.

Nice little hostel, a bit hard to find amongst the shops but with amazingly central location - perfect for our first night and really comfortable!

The location was excellent but that is all the positive things i can say really. i wouldn't stay there again. A girl met while travelling checked in also, she got to the front door and wouldn't go in...need i say more

I stayed in this hostel with another girl and we both felt pretty comfortable. The surrounding area isn't that great, kind of scary late at night, but the staff is the best ever! Our room was very clean and the location is excellent! I would highly reccomend this hostel, just be careful walking...

Good location. Close to the ferry harbor, metro, sightseeing areas, shops, etc.. The room I got had a really tiny bathroom, and the TV did not work..but the AC + huge fan will keep you cool. Staffs are cool as well. :)

The entrance area is not the safest. I didnt stay here because of concerns about my security when coming and going at night. The rooms arent the nicest either.

The hostel was not there - or where they said it was. We lost our deposit but fortunately it was only 16 pounds. We had to stay at Chunking House instead - luckily they had rooms available for our tenure in Hong Kong.

This place is fine, a great location and good price for where it is. Just know what you're going to find when you get here, its not a hostel with facilities or common rooms, just very small pretty shabby rooms. Its good, but only as a place to get in and sleep.

Excellent Location in Hong Kong, the building offers everything and the rooms have Air conditioning which is necessary because of the humidity.

NOISY location.. Shower area is slippery with no doors/curtains on each shower may not suit everyone. But staff are wonderful! And there is plenty of hot water.

A very convenient location, was really easy to get around, really great price with new sheets and towels supplied every day. Friendly staff. would recommend to any budget traveller looking for cheap place to stay in Hong Kong.

Like a windowless cell-at least there is Air Con, but the lady tries to downgrade your accom request-did it to me and another guy. If you can spend more to stay nicer then do so!

Close to metro, easy to find. But not the most friendliest and helpfull staff, Hostel was not a very backpacker friendly one, just 5 computers for such a big hostel. Room was ok.

We really loved staying at this hostel!! If only every place in China could have been like your hostel! The staff were always cheerful and helpful, the place had a really good atmosphere and our room was soooo cozy and clean. We'll be sure to recommend you to other friends we know going to China!

Hostel is a great place to stay. Sam, who works there, was very helpful and friendly. It's in a great location and is definitely a place I would stay at again. If surpassed all expectations I had. Higly recommended!

Excellent facilities for the price. Very friendly staff and generally a nice place to stay. It's easy enough to get a taxi there but a couple of drivers didn't know the location. However, if your travelling on a budget you couldn't do any better for quality than here.

only the dorms are actually in the hostel, the double rooms are in the hotel itself. Nevertheless it is very clean and the lady on the tour desk is very helpful.

Their rates are in US $, NOT HK $ as indicated ! So it is not cheep. They confuse USD and HKD in their system.

possibly the worst hostel i have ever stayed in. dirty and run down. cockroaches running across the room, bad smelling room. possibly the worst u can ever get. if u can afford a little more money, head over to mirador mansions
