Hong Kong guide
Enjoying a spectacular waterside setting, and home to one of the world's most famous skylines, Hong Kong is one of the most vibrant, dazzling, and electric (literally) cities in the world. Neon signs advertising everything from restaurants to foot massages decorate Kowloon islands' streets, while it is the skyscrapers that provide the sparkle after dark on Hong Kong Island. It's also one of the busiest places on earth with a population of 7 million people sharing a very small land mass. Take a visit in your stride, if you get the chance.

A helpful note to other veggie travellers - I loved "Kung Tak Lam Shanghai Vegetarian Cuisine" - all dishes with egg clearly marked, and food was delish and cheap. Lovely restaurant with a great view, really clean. Add: 7th Floor of 1 Peking Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon (11am-11pm - I grabbed the business card!). I ate in 3 different vegetarian places while in HK and this was my favourite by far. Also can really recommend the Tai Chi class by HK museum of art - its free and a lovely way to start the day! 8am-9am on Mon, Weds, Thurs and Fri, or see the following link: http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/heritage/ck/he_ckcl_taic.jhtml Happy travels! close

Tram and sightseeing areaWhere?
Located in the center of Hong KongAnything Else?
The tram takes about 7 minutes to get from Hong Kong to the the Peak Tower which is a leisure and shopping complex located near the summit of Victoria Peak and has great views of Hong Kong and the surrounding areas.
Also known as 'The Peak', this is the best place in the city to get a view of Hong Kong. To get to the peak you have to take a funicular to the top that takes about ten minutes. Once you're up there the views of the city are amazing. Try to do it twice if you can - once in the day and another at night.
