This city has the best shopping Vietnam has to offer. When you're not being fitted for a tailored suit or having shoes custom made you can take a stroll down the river and sample some 5 star Hoi An cuisine! Even a full blown feast should only set you back about $10! or sit street side with the locals and have a chat and a bowl of Pho, for $1.50 its the best eat you'll find anywhere! Hoi An also has a rich culture, in the old quarter you can see ancient Chinese influenced houses and a Japanese bridge, between stops to look into open workshops set up to show off the skills of the Hoi An artisans. Many of these workshops are staffed with disabled or underprivalaged children,so a few good purchases here can make a real difference! I hope you love Hoi An as much as I did, I will be back there as soon as possible! Hayleyclose

The feel of the city is great and it really is the place to get clothes made and we had to contain ourselves. I would love to come here again with a group of girlfriends, a lot of cash and an empty suitcase. The food is cheap and delicious, especially the seafood and the local specialties. The Beach is beautiful and great for getting a tan. The weather has been great, hot days and rain at night to cool things off. This place will go in my top 5 all time favourites!close

Hoi An is really stressful. There are 2 tourist attractions (one's a bridge...!) and you cannot walk 5 minutes down the road without being pounced on by 10 different people who will follow you down the road for at least 10 minutes. Booked a twin room (US$22). Could not fault the room. The hotel staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. The rooms and hotel were spotless. It is about 3 km form the beach and very close to the Old Town, lots of bar and restaraunts. Overall a really great stay and we would use...

Excellent hotel. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly all the time. The room is very nice, clean and really comfortable. They had free internet and buffet breakfast were included with the rooms. Location is alright. Our stay in the hotel was a pleasant one.

  3. Ancient House Resort 100%

Stayed for one week on a four week holiday to Vietnam with my wife. This is not a resort but rather a small intimate colonial style hotel with the rooms spread around a very nice garden and pool area. There are three standards of room: $40, $50 and $60 per room. We stayed in the $50 which had...

A very warm welcome and charming surroundings. The pool and the outdoor breakfast on the decking were excellent. We were sorry to leave the hotel.
