Me and my gf stayed at the hotel for 4 nights during jan 2008...it was clean, safe and secure but not much fun (but we wasnt after that). we paid 70 USD per night for a nice double room.

This is the sort of room you would expect to pay minimum £100/$200 for in a big European or US city. All the facilities you would expect are present and correct, although the air con in our room was not great and might struggle in the summer heat. Decor is modern and inoffensive, and it was really quiet, esp considering you are right in the heart of HCMC. About 3 minutes walk to the backpacker area around De Tham, or jump in a taxi and get to the more upmarket business area for about 50p/$1!close

Overall the hotel was worth the money, but saying that when we checked out, the total cost was different to the amount quoted by Hostel World. I understand currency rates change, but I budgeted for the amount given & didnt expect a change. Just may be something for you to think about for...

3 star hotel, more like a 4 star with its facilities and friendly staff who want to do evertything for you, very clean & good security, overall very nice :)

I was very happy with the cleanliness, security (room safe), and location in the heart of the Pham Ngu Lao district. But I was most impressed by the professionality of the staff. On my way to the airport I forgot my camera in the taxi. The Que Huong Hotel located the camera and had it sent to my next destination. I will certainly return when I am in Ho Chi Minh city next.close
