Good location, decent Japanese style rooms. Perfect basic accomodation in a central location.

Basic and clean japanese style accommodation (Ryokan) very close to the centre of Hiroshima. Staff were helpful. Had trouble getting a taxi to find the place but it was only a cheap taxi ride from the shinkansen station.

I prefer the smaller, cozy hostels where it's easier to socialize, but this one was ok for my short 2 days stay. The staff is very nice. Now the hostel is VERY clean, but there was a lot of black mold in my bathroom. Not sure why such a clean hostel would have this problem. Otherwise, nice...

We've stayed in the Ikawa Hotel instead of the Ryokan. These ratings are for the Ikawa HOTEL.

owner is very friendly and helpful. About at 15min street car ride from the train station and a 10 minute walk to hiroshima memorial park. Great place for the price.

Not really a traditional Ryokan as advertised (more like a regular hotel, with Japanese styled rooms), but everything was clean and the staff were friendly.

Not exactly a hostel, but in a nice sleepy, but pleastly centrally located neighbourhood.

good ryokan. Tradtional style. sleeping on mats, really nice room, with big tv and fridge. Free coffee and tea and sweets. Breakfast is too expensive. Location is excellent.

The place looks like a real mess, almost like it had been turned into a Ryokan amateuristically. The tatami beds are awful, think twice if you really want to have this traditional experience. The rooms are very, extremely small. Theres a girl who works there that has been more than willing to...

Makes you feel home when the old couple who own the place say good morning and welcome home to you everyday... Location is perfect and everything is within walking distance if you do not mind walking for 20-30 minutes. Great place to stay!!!!

A cool and very huge private bath (although there wasn't one for girls). One of the cheapest ryokans we saw too

The staff only spoke a little english but were a lovely couple and really went out of their way to help us when we couldnt work out how to phone home. Overall a good place to stop over cheap with your own toilet and shower.close

Nice wee family run hotel and excellent if you can get the traditional japanese rooms. 10 Minutes walk from the centre of town so no need to buy a pass for the trams unless you are wanting to go further out from hiroshima.

Bit far from the train station; I recommend grabbing a taxi to avoid any hassle. The room was a small hotel room with two twin beds and its own bathroom. Previous place was just a hostel, and having a proper hotel room at this price was wonderful. The room was very clean and I`m surprised they don`t charge more. FYI, if you go to Miyajima and have a JR Railpass, there is a ferry you can take for free.close

The directions to the place were not clear enough and should be have a map from bus center too, perhaps a map in English would help.

Whilst the room were clean the general areas were messy with things just lying around. Also you had to leave your room keys which were left at the front desk unattended..anyone could walk in and pick them up and go to your room.

There is a nice okonomiyaki place around the corner (less than 5 minutes away) and a coin-op laundry nearby as well. Owners are quite friendly and there is no curfew. I'll definitely stay here next time I'm in Hiroshima.close
