Clean bed, very basic, but I do remember that the staff were very friendly, and accommodating. Location is great, just a minute from the memorial park. No extras in the place but it was affordable and clean.

We got a private twin room with a bathroom, which was a change from the hostel we were staying at previously. The bathroom is tiny (with thin walls), and the room isn't that big, but the bed was comfy, you get a TV, a little fridge (handy!) and what was really cool was that our room came with a huge balcony. Very neat to stand out there and look around. The hotel is near a 7-11 as well as a tiny drug store, and there's also a handy little vending machine in the lobby with water, beer, chuhai, etc. The hotel is located conveniently to a lot of the tourist spots- just a few blocks from the Peace Memorial Park and also the shopping arcades where you can check out stores, karaoke, lots of restaurants and bars, and the okonomimura. (Recommended! Three floors of delicious okonomiyaki, and Hiroshima's version with the noodles added is very filling!) The staff were very nice, and when asked, gave us two keys for the room. (I speak some Japanese, so I'm not sure how it would be if you don't speak the language at all, but the staff were very accommodating overall.) They also didn't bat an eye when a friend of ours ended up staying over in our room on the second night. They even watched our stuff after we checked out so we could go see the museum before heading back to Hiroshima station. The hotel also has a cute cat named Momo who runs in and out. Point to remember: Their directions aren't very good. Say you take the tram from Hiroshima station (#1 is a good bet) and get off at the Chuden-mae stop. You want to be on the same side of the street as the NHK building as they mentioned. (I had to ask a couple people which building was the NHK building- it's this big building about a block off, and is marked.) The thing is- when you see the NHK building, it's on the other side of this big street with a couple islands in the middle that break up the crossing. DO NOT CROSS THAT STREET. Instead, take a left at that intersection. You will pass the gas station and get to a narrow street. Take a left here and walk a few paces and on your left will be Hotel Million City. It's a small narrow hotel. We made the mistake of crossing the street and wandering around the NHK building block before backtracking. Hotel Million City would not be the place for you if you're looking to meet people to hang out with. It's a business hotel with mostly single rooms and a few twins. If you're looking for someplace with a common area to meet other travelers, then you should check out a hostel. For us though, it worked fine, and was a very affordable choice for a hotel. If you go, say hi to Momo for me!close

Fairly characterless business hotel. Good location, but don`t expect to meet anyone. Helpful staff.

Excellent location, the reception guy/owner was very nice. Its nice to get your own room after a week of sharing in hostels. Not the cleanest ever hotel but the bed was fine. Good for a night.

It's not next a train or street car station, but the walking distance isn't that bad. It's located basically across the street from the Peace Memorial Museum and the park.close

It was very simple. Not bad at all, but nothing special. Great location though for seeing the A-Bomb Dome and Peace Museum. Good price.

I ended up going somwhere far cheaper and probably better which I did not see on the site before. It's called J-Hoppers, it's very very close to the peace park and other great attractions, not to mention half the cost of Million City. Google it.

Pretty basic. Good to have my own bathroom but a little expensive for what it is - a basic business hotel.

The staff here was very friendly, very accommodating -- see if you can spot the elusive Momo (the hotel cat) while you're here too! Very small property (just two rooms per floor) so service here is very personalized. As a solo female traveler, I would stay here again.close
