It was ok. We travelled with a 1 year old baby and it was ok. The shower was a little bit dirty.

It did the job. It was clean, central and friendly. The rooms were quite small even for your average ryokan. overall good though.

Very welcoming owner. Room was small (for 3 people) but immaculate. Toilets and showers were very clean. The breakfast we had was very good. Highly recommended

Ryokan Sansui was a really nice stay. Clean room, TV, kitchen downstairs with nice bathroom separate toilets upstairs. Felt like a homestay with a family

We were looking for a real Ryokan experience and were very disappointed that meals, tea ceremonies and so on were not performed or offered to us by the Ryokan. In addition when sleeping on tatami mats it was very hard to sleep when the cleaners began vacuuming at 9 in the morning!

The lady who runs it is really lovely. She also provides free tea and coffee. My only disappointment was some things weren't as clean as I would have liked... including the tea pot and some extra blankets. But... for the price and location it was fantastic!

Landlady speaks minimal English, rooms have real doors that lock and solid walls, very steep stairs to climb up and steps are not very deep so not good for heavy set or older people w/ a lot of luggage. must catch a tram to get there from the JR station.

The location is good, you can go to the Peace Memorial Museum on foot. The owner is kind but she doesn't speak English.

Very nice, but it smelled like feet. They use a lot of vinegar to clean the place!

Loved every minute of it. The land lady was very thoughtful and the rooms were spotless and had everything you could need. She even let us use her bicycles for free which is great to get around Hiroshima. They only had room for one night and the 2nd Ryokan made us appreciate Sansui even more!

The owner is the sweetest lady i think ive ever met! She is just like a nanna, very friendly and kind, and cooks a mean breaky! She takes a photo of you out the front, gives you a copy and puts a copy up on the wall. I would love to visit her again.

We only stayed one night, but the lady who runs the ryokan treated us as if we were staying for a week. Even though she only spoke a little English, she was very helpful and the room we had was more like an apartment than a room at a hostel. Well worth the money spent!

Overcrowded (my 7th trip to Japan so I know what Japanese rooms are like); no breakfast; poor communal facilities; hard to find - the instructions say "1 minute walk from the tram stop" but in which direction?

Very good location for the sights and run by a lovely lady. Great eating places nearby. Communal area lacking in facilties for example a sink and waste bin, useful for those who don't wish to be a burden.

Absolutely fantastic, run by the sweetest most hospitable woman. She greets you with "welcome home" when you come in. Convenient, safe location. Kept clean. Whole city is fantastic and Sansui is the place to see it not because of the good price but the warm welcome.
