The room (single) was dull indeed, but the long wide corridors had a funny Shining feeling to them. The bar/breakfast restaurant at the top floor is top-notch though, with a great view of Helsinki. Unfortunately amenities like gyms and saunas were closed during my stay. Lobby staff very friendly... more

Too far away from the city... half an hour to get from downtown. It is in a city called Espoo (beach). Food from the restaurant is not good at all... do not reccomend eating there at lunch Very clean rooms and beautiful surroundings at the beach.

The hostel is located in the center of Helsinki which is great, but unfortunately subscribes all too much to the HI philosophy (large, anodyne and rather boring). Staff were friendly and helpful though.
