Location excellent, if stairs are a problem ensure you request a room on the lower floors, even though the hotel had lost our booking and we weren't expected they did try to fit us in, access to net in your room unreliable

This hostel was on a quiet street away from traffic. It was close to good local food stalls & clothing shops & 5-10 min walk to the Lake. Staff were friendly and helpful and helped booked our daytrip to Halong bay - US22 per person. Airport pick up was US15 per trip. Staff were friendly and helpful and helped booked our daytrip to Halong bay - US22 per person. Airport pick up was US15 per trip. There wasn't a hair dryer in the room but there will be one on loan for no extra charge. All in all a pleasant stay and we will definitely go back again.close

We chose this hotel basing on many good reviews : the staff are qualilfied and well -trained .Our room were very clean and comfortable .The location is great .They are also a travel agency which is convenient for any traveller

We organised our tours with them and found them very good, they let us keep our luggage there and when we returned gave us a room to rest and shower in until we got our bus that evening. Perfect location and very friendly staff.

Great location and helpful staff. There was some confusion about the airport transfer - the hostelworld website shows this was free however the hotel did try and charge us for it. Also the wifi was very patchy but there were 2 computers in the foyer available for use. Overall a good experience...

They were very nice and let us check in at 6am the day we arrived. The staff also helped us with bookings and all our needs. Note to the hotel: Don't use the same taxi service for guests, the driver tried to rip us off.

Love my stay here in Ocean Stars 2 till the point that I had decided to extend my stay here from 1 day to 5 days. The location was pretty alright, about 8 mins to Ho Hoan Kiem Lake. The many interesting shophouses along the way makes sure the walk wont be boring. The location was pretty alright, about 8 mins to Ho Hoan Kiem Lake. The many interesting shophouses along the way makes sure the walk wont be boring. Restaurants like "Little Hanoi" that is recommended by Lonely Planet is just round the corner as well as amazing streetfood. The many DVD shops ensures that you will have enough entertainment throughout the night. There is a International Call Shop just round the corner as well. In a nutshell, it is easy to navigate round once you are familiar with this place. I book 3 tours from Ocean Stars 2 as I do not wish to have any trouble sourcing for one and the 3 tours are Sapa, Tam Coc as well as Halong Bay. Price was rather cheap, and more importantly services was good. Pickup to and fro the hotel was ever present and best of all, I had my Sapa Trip customized to my liking. Daily Breakfast, included with the stay, was served which includes french loaf with choices of eggs, omelette and butter/jam as well as Pho Ga (Rice Noodles with Chicken) and a whole assortment of drinks to jumpstart your day. Staff was fantastic. I cant say more of the manager Jimmy who can speak many different languages which includes English, Chinese, Vietnamese (Duh), bit of korean and many more. He was extremely helpful and recommended me alot of place to go from his hotel as well as some problem with my local SIM card. The boys who helped run the place were extremely friendly, many a times inviting me for a drink or talking to me. For those who are very fussy about cleanliness, you can put your heart with the rooms here. Bedsheet are changed daily and the rooms are cleaned. Its a good welcome smelling a nice room with a changed bedsheet after a weary trip! For those who are worried about noises from the bustling streets, ask for a higher room. Even though there is no lift, but be prepared to feast your eyes with a panoramic view of Hanoi which I did while staying on the 6th floor. All in all, I will definitely highly recommend this place to all who is coming to Hanoi if you are looking for a flexible place with friendly staff and clean room! I will definitely come back here again on my next visit!close

The hostel was very clean and as it was on a side street it was pretty quiet. Room was quite small but fine. Staff were quite helpful as we left our passports in Ninh Binh and they got them back for us on the same day. Good value and would stay there again.

The manager and staff are super helpful, and you can't beat the location - right in the heart of the Old Quarter. About a 10 minute walk from the Water Puppet Theater, among other Hanoi attractions. We've since recommended it to a number of friends who have all loved it.

The staff will help you call cab to ensure that u get the best transport and dun get overcharged by the cab drivers.. We left our backpacks in the hotel when we went sapa n halong bay, very safe.. thanks to the staff we opened the door for me when we return from trip to Halong early in the morning at 5 am.. the location is fanastic, it's at the heart of the city - old quarters. This street is packed with restaurants, few of them recommended by lonely planet.close
