We stayed in 2 double rooms at Binh Minh 2 Hotel- very nice and spacious. The price of 20 USD/ night was also reasonable when we asked the other hotels nearby. This hotel was running by family so all the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were arranged the trip to Halong Bay and Sapa... more We stayed in 2 double rooms at Binh Minh 2 Hotel- very nice and spacious. The price of 20 USD/ night was also reasonable when we asked the other hotels nearby. This hotel was running by family so all the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were arranged the trip to Halong Bay and Sapa trekking by the manager in advance so we had a discount of 15%. The trips were good quality and we felt very happy during the time in Vietnam. Sure to come back Vietnam next year but may be Saigon ciy."close

I booked this online & the information you're given & the photos you see are not how it really is. The rooms are old & shabby, no wi-fi above the 1st floor & the shower was over the toilet which is only good if you wanna have a dump & a shower at the same time! The only good thing about the place was the lovely receptionist, Nhung, forever smiling. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend this, the place needs some work! You can get better for the money.close

We enjoyed both our nights stay in this hotel and were pleased with the friendly, excellent service provided by the hotel's staff. The location was very conveniant as it's not even a 10-minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in the Old Quarter. dont stay here! the pictures are of a different place and they have none of the facilities they claim! it was dirty and fulled with cockroaches and the staff are very unhelpful.

An excellent place considering the price that you are paying for. Great location with just a 2 minutes walk from Hoan Kiem Lake and The Water Puppet Theatre. Rooms, staff, internet free, coffee, breakfast... and so on were very good.

Really nice, funny, safe and quiet hotel. The hotel is located 5 min from the Lake- best place in Hanoi. Being picked up at Hanoi airport is also nice (was a little bit difficult to find the driver and we had to wait but was cool we didn't have to travel with our luggage). The staff are extremely helpful and the hotel is cheap for booking excursion and bus tickets. They will also keep rooms for you at a minutes notice. Would definately stay again

Good choice in Hanoi city with reasonable price and good quality. Security is good. Rooms are big. Linen is clean. Free fruit, tea bag and coffee is great. Excellent hotel. Even though breakfast is the same every morning (bread and cereal), but considering the cost per night, it is an excellent deal (even has orange juice).The staffs are very helpful and friendly. There is a different theme for each night of the week. Really don't see myself staying in another place next time I am in Hanoi. Excellent value for money hotel. Keep up the good work!close

Overcharges for tours and rooms. Hot water on and off. I've met others tourists who have had the same bad experiences and were, as I was, moving to a better and fairly priced hotel and running away from the pressure selling.
