We only stayed here two nights. The location is great for the train but not for much else, although busses to pretty much everywhere do go from the main road outside the door. there are no western toilets and be prepared for alot of stairs. wouldnt have stayed here for much longer.

Conveniently located near to the train station and just a short walk from the beautiful riverside gardens and activities. Helpful and honest staff.

Directions to the hostel were really poor (better directions = from the train station cross the road, go down a small alley way between 2 hotels and you'll see the signs), and the cleanliness of the bathrooms was terrible! The common areas were OK and the staff helpful when they had time to chat.

Quite nice hostel. I was in a 4 bed dorm and the room was really nice. The toilets and shower rooms were spotless, but the water temperature was eratic. The location is good for a short stay in Guilin (near the transport in and out). Staff are friendly. Very cheap for Guilin.

The river tour was a rip off. There was a bug in one of the pancakes. The shower nozzles were hazardous, but there was good hot water.

Great pictures on the Internet that make you think it is a better place. People were nice, and it's conviniently located just in front of the train station, but I would recommend travelers to look for a better place. Also you should be aware that toilets are those floor-hole style.

when I book to get one bed, I am looking a matress and not for a piece of wood. The toilets were not clean since I can not imagine... Same thing for the bathroom.

Awful rooms with humity, and a really old building, with dirty and old toilets. The room was 55yuanes single room, what is expensive for the poor quality of the room (humity, old furniture,no air conditioner in this room at this price)

A bit of a trek to the centre of Guilin proper - but since you'll only spend a couple of days there being next to the train station (And buses to Yangshuo) is handy enough to make it worthwhile. Lovely staff, but a terrible pool table. Try not to get a room on the 5th floor!
