Easy to walk around, people are friendly and helpful. Driving is a nightmare as can crossing the street, but it is a beautiful place to stay for awhile. There is alot of local activity on the waterfront, Elephant Park was loads nicer than Solitary Beauty Park. There is alot of local activity on the waterfront, Elephant Park was loads nicer than Solitary Beauty Park. And street food is extremely cheap and delicious, though it can be on the very spicy side. Dive in and just enjoy Guilin, loads of people speak English and even those that dont are more than willing to help you out.close

    beat place so helpful if you email them before you go yhey will pick you up from station very friendly brilliant only three rooms but its set out like a hotel lovely

    good location for this hostel, the staff were not very friendly, were helpful if pushed. the room was a good size, beds huge!

    We only stayed here two nights. The location is great for the train but not for much else, although busses to pretty much everywhere do go from the main road outside the door. there are no western toilets and be prepared for alot of stairs. wouldnt have stayed here for much longer.

    Very friendly helpful staff at the oasis, rooms are roomy and clean, Jeannie and Joe both spek excellent english and are more than willing to help out with bookings,local info and translations, cant recommend it enough for the price thisis a good little hotel

    We arrived 45 minutes late and as it was in the National day holiday they had given our room away as they could get twice as much. If i were you i'd find another hostel!

    I wish the smaller hotels would not need a cash deposit on registering when one is prepared to pay for extras with a credit card. Perhaps this will change. Can you put pressure on them?

    Oh…such a beautiful landscape in Guilin. I have never seen somewhere as natural as these. Guilin is a typical Karst formation of lands. Guilin with its astonishing landscape and being home to a natural wonder. the Flute Reed Caves is now world renown. ……I cant really find a word to describe it, but if you go there, you will see……Astonishing!!!!!!!
