I had to change my reservation and the staff was awful and so rude! Yelling at me in Spanish and saying how 'maleducado' I am for changing a reservation?

Irma is the best! She takes care of you; she is always lovely and helpful. I took the single room which was quite expensive but it had a TV in it (with few English channels).

It´s a very cute place, on one corner of town, but still next to everything! The owner is very sweet and helpful.

EL mejor hostel en donde he estado. Irma es muy atenta en todas las cosas que un viajero necesita. La ubicación es excelente y el trato inigualable.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment à Los encuentros. Nous avons rencontré Irma qui est un peu "une mère" pour tous les voyageurs. Chouette endroit que je vous conseille.

Good overall hostel. Awesome staff, very quiet, fairly clean, has hot water, good breakfast. About average distance from the center of town. Not many people hang around the hostel, so if you are looking to meet other travelers, this probably isn't the place for you.

The couple who run this place are very sweet. They'll go out of their way to help you. Ask them about shuttles to the airport and such. They have a reliable shuttle service.

Even though I enjoyed my two days there, this is a very poor hostel. In the star system, in my opinion it is not worth more than a half a star. Irina ? the lady of the house was very good. Give her a five star rating

Irma, the owner, is a wonderful hostess who will go out of her way to help you. We felt very, very safe in the hotel and leaving our things there. Since she´s the solo owner, make sure you give an accurate time of arrival for your booking, as she does have to leave from time to time. Otherwise,...

A very nice family run bed and breakfast hotel with a nice but quiet atmosphere. If you looking for a calm, relaxing and welcomming place - you should pick los encuentros!

The owners, Irma and Salvador, care for their guests safety and comfort. Breakfast is included. Irma strives to make tasty and healthful breakfasts every morning. She changes the breakfast menu every morning. This is a calm safe place.

Very helpful. nice breakfast. comfortable beds. tranquil. well kept. nice courtyard.good effort to look after guests. diligent. not the cheapest price, but reasonable value. A very personable place. Not really a party atmosphere, but thats fine for me.

The proprietors of this establishment, Mirna and Salvador are defenitely in my top 5 of hostels, around the world, as far as making you feel at home goes. They are both very nice with big open hearts!...and the breakfast is wonderful, too!

The hotel is a charming place, very well located, just a few blocks away from the central park with outstanding attention from Irma and his family. Breakfast was great. Thanks a lot Irma.
