There is always something going on in the plazas. This is the number 1 tourist destination for Mexicans as well as many Europeans and N. Americans. Lots to do, to see, to eat. The University provides an additional spice to adventures, performing at night in the streets, etc. Great place to visit. |

my most pleasant and inexpensive stay in mexico so far. very large bedroom and washroom. very clean. 10-15 minute walk to the centre of town. very warm and welcoming family. quiet home but easy access to sights/entertainment. guests will be well fed and encouraged to practice spanish language skills. if one has mobility issues, be forewarned that this guesthouse has near a hundred stairs that must be climbed/descended to access any street. |

The city is quaint, has a lot to offer in the way of museums and food. The city has a great vibe and I felt safe even at night. Not mentioned in many guidebooks, there is excellent hiking around the city if you want to get away. There are decent/clean hotels in the budget price range, $15-$20 for a single. I think this is a great price for such an amazing city! |
