The season had just started (april-october) so the atmospere was fairly quiet. Platanias is a village built for tourists. If you want to explore everyday life, visit Chania. Chania has lots of restaurants, cafés and some shops (selling mostly copies and beachwear). The beaches in Platanias are beautiful. Try to come here in the beginning or end of season and you´ll be walking on the beaches on your own at sunrise. Very relaxing!close
