Pension House Margot provides family operated accommodation in Palekastro, Sitia, east-Crete, Greece, near the beach at Vai. It is the ideal starting point from which to explore lonely beaches, pristine landscape, excursions to wild gorges, caves, archaeological sites (Kato Zakros), historical monasteries (Toplou) and traditional villages. The complex consists of 2 houses with 8 and 6 rooms in each. Each room has a veranda or balcony, refrigerator and A/C is available on request. There is a garden with trees and flowers which is suitable for kids and a parking plot on site. Telephone, internet and fax services are available at reception. Detailed information about the whole island is available from the family who speak English and German fluently. Access to internet is also available. Breakfast is served from 8am-11am and there is free tea and coffee every afternoon for guests. There are restaurants near the pension . Water sports, hiking and trekking are just some of the activities you may participate in nearby. Car Rental can also be arranged at very low prices. Distance from Iraklion airport/port : 150 kms Distance from Sitia airport/port : 18 kms

This a quiet place in a very small town on the eastern side of Crete. It is very laid back- you get towels & sheets but bring your own toiletries. They take cards but bring cash just in case, sometimes their machine breaks. A beautiful beach is close by and some incledible hikes along side... more This a quiet place in a very small town on the eastern side of Crete. A beautiful beach is close by and some incledible hikes along side goats!! If you want the small- town, nontouristy feel this is the town for you! I liked it and would stay here again!close

Pension House Margot is about 3 hours from Iraklion.Is about 30 minuts by feat a fantastic beach and about 20 minuts from Sitia.Is very nice for people who don't want to go to Knossos or Iraklion.The village of Palekastro is ery nice and very cheaper.I hope you will enjoy that.

We turned up to the hostel and waited for hours... but nobody met us at reception and we had to go and find somewhere else to stay.
