Nice place, pretty standard for a hostel. The staff are amazing though and can help you out with almost anything you need. Very clean and close to the pedestrian walking area.

The hotel staff was REALLY nice too (a diamond in the rough).close

Very nice staff with some nice bars and restaurants around. Unfortunately, very noise during the night because of the scooters and dogs barking.

The staff were helpful, but that is about the only nice thing I can say about this place. The hotel is located on a sketchy alley behind the museum, in an area I didn't feel very comfortable walking in at night. The window in the bathroom was broken and the drain in the floor backed up. In...

Location is alright and the hostel gives a 70's feel to it. Shower is not great and room is quite minimal. Upside is that the staff(the female owner especially) is very friendly and helpful and they give good recommendations for restaurants too.

The place is very old and not very clean. The location is ok, it's in the center of Hiraclion. The guy at the reception wanted us to pay for a Fiat seicento as much as you usually pay for a much bigger car. You have to pay a lot for a breakfast that is very poor.

The name of the the remain they mentioned on the web can't be found @ the location anywhere, even you passed it several times, we aren't sure where it is. We spent over an hour to get there. We arrived but the room was not vacant, so we asked for a place to have our breakfast. Since we didn't pay for their breakfast, the staff was very unfriendly and didn't tell us where the guests have breakfast. We had to sat at 2 small chairs @the doorway with many things around, until one swiss family went downstairs to have breakfast.close

This place had a good location and the rooms weren't bad although the shower sucked - but nothing unusual in that in Greece! We had same travel troubles which meant that we had to change our reservation and it was no problem at all. THE STAFF IS AWESOME - THEY TOTALLY MAKE THE HOSTEL!! Not only were they friendly and knowledgeable, they also spoke English really well which eliminated the language barrier for us. Our room was also very clean, although it was a little chilly. (Which would be nice in the summer, but we were there in April). We also had a balcony, which was great. The shared bathroom was small-ish and the water pressure wasn't great, but it was clean and servicable. The hostel is in a good location - close to the airport, the port, and tons of cute shops and good restaurants. (Go to Cafe Utopia, which is right around the corner, for thier drinking chocolate. 5 euros gets you an amazing chocolate drink, a 1.5L bottle of water and a tea tray stuffed with goodies.) You have to take a bus to get to a good beach, but it only takes 10-15 minutes and the town's buses are really nice. Overall we loved this hostel and would stay there again in a heartbeat!close

The only complaint is the taxi drivers don't like to drop you off at the door, but down a couple of streets. This is due to the streets being really narrow throughout the city. It is a short walk to everything downtown and the staff are incredibly nice and helpful.

If you just want to sleep and shower at your hotel for cheap, this is the place for you. If you care at all about anything else, like that the hotel is graffittied all over or that the entrance is in a dark alley, don't stay here.
