Rethymno was amazing...hard to find at first but once you get there it's a breez! The staff was great the location was great! I'm already planning my next trip there!

A good hostel, with a great location. Not far from the beach. Ivan the manager was friendly and tried to take care of all our needs. The toilets are in a seperate block away from the hostel and there was limited hot water. However, for the price of 9 euros a night, for the typical backpacker, you...

what a fantastic suprise - i've never felt so welcome at any other place i've stayed - great facilities, great people, especially the manager ivan - made me laugh as soon as i walked in after a tiring journey - sad i hadn't decided to spend more time there - i'll definitely be back

All I can say is STAY HERE while visiting Crete. I loved it so much I flew back from Thessaloniki to spend more time here. Ivan is a totally interactive hostel manager and will do whatever is needed to make you comfortable. Thanks Ivan! See you next July!

make sure if you're travelling to this hostel you are able to make it from the port/ airport with enough time to catch a bus if your not comming directly to Rethymno. Our ferry was delayed so we missed the last bus to Rethymno and the only way to get there from Iraklio was an 80 euro cab ride...

Excellent location in old town & Ivan the manager is FANTASTIC, kind & helpful with advice on sightseeing and getting aroundç Its a good place to go if solo traveller. Met great people. Lovely outdoor bar area. Very good value. STAY HERE!

The best hostel i've been to yet by a mile!!! Excellent also if you're travelling alone as there are a lot of solo backpackers coming through. Ivan is unreal and will help you with anything, and make sure you're enjoying your stay!

Would definately recommend this place for fun-loving backpackers.. it's REALLY good value for money, staff are very friendly, the hostel is very big so there are plenty of people to meet and go out with, however the the streets surrounding are very noisy so bring your ear-plugs!

This place was nice. The guy who owns it was awesome. Its about a 10min walk from the port, but of course we managed to get lost, so it took us 2hrs to find the place.

Back again to one of the greatest hostels. A wonderful location, the hostel has preserved the original building. Good people that take care of everyone. I failed to leave as planned again! The place is still rocking!

I loved staying here. The people I met were great. It makes for a fun filled time. Ivan is the best and will take good care of your needs; all you have to do is ask. The location is great! Close to everything.

Ivan is awesome! He wants to make sure that you are having a good time and is very helpful. It's a very cozy hostel. There isn't any air conditioning so don't stay here in July and August (find air conditioning or you will suffer!), but for the price, I would recommend this place to anyone!

Ivan is pretty awesome, and the place is great for 9 euro. But having no airconditioning made it very hard to sleep unless you grabbed a bed outside and there was no security to speak of. Not thrilled with the cleanliness either, but all in all, you get what you pay for and for the price it is good.
