2. Mercure Graz City 80%      

   Location is not the best but is close to the river and downtown. 5 minute by cab from the train station. The rooms were comfortable as were the beds. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a small grocery store next to the hotel for snacks that is open late. A couple of good restaurant...

   This hostel had a very strange set up. We arrived there to discover we had to pay an extra two euros as a 'city' tax which we did not have to pay anywhere else in Austria or Europe! We then realised that the hostel was infact a youth centre in which they had converted a spare room into a bedroom....
