Tropicano Beach Resort is a very beautiful small beach resort just five minutes walk from Candolim beach. There is a beautiful garden and the rooms overlook this. There is also a balcony with a table and two chairs where one can have their breakfast or do some letter writing etc. The bedroom has two separate beds which can be joined or separated. There is a fan, two side tables, a luggage rack, a table, a cupboard and in some of our rooms we also provide a refrigerator. There are two windows which help in the cross ventilation. The washroom has a wash basin, an English toilet and a cold/hot water shower. We have rooms which have AC/ non-AC. The rates for the non-ac rooms are mentioned on the rate chart. The rate for the AC room is as follows : 04th Jan - 30th April Rs.900/- per room per day 1st May - 30th Sept - Rs.700/- per room per day 1st Oct - 23rd Dec - Rs.800/- per room per day 24th Dec - 26th Dec - Rs.2500/- per room per day 27th Dec - 03rd Jan - Rs.3000/- per room per day

All of the previous reviews hit this place dead on. The hotel is unbelievably clean, excellent little patios outside by the garden are fun for meeting other travalers. The staff is extremely flexible and are willing to help with everything you need and the walk to the beach is only 3 minutes...

I can really recommend that place for backpackers who want to stay in a rather calm place.close

We booked on hostel world and we didn't realize there was an option for AC rooms. AC rooms are 800 INR. They were very accomodating at let us switch, but only had room for us to move for 2 nights of our stay. If you stay in March, you may want AC since it is very hot every day and there isn't really any place to escape the heat except for the beach!!close

A Great stay. Very relaxed. Quite busy though so definately have to book in advance. A lot turned away during my stay but plenty of similar alternatives locally so should not be a problem. Overall very friendly and well maintained. (for India)

It has character, and a great garden, with balconies that oversee it. The room was clean, and decorated with typical Indian windows. The guests were friendly, and generally, I had a great time! The property manager is well thought of here, unfortunately, I had difficulty finding him around often. It seemed every time I needed something, he was gone. That may have just been my experience though, because other guests did not have that experience. I would highly recommend this place, in spite of that minor inconvenience.close

One of the best places I've stayed in almost a half year of travel. Spotless rooms, friendly staff and a very relaxing setting. I hightly recomend this guesthouse. Its very popular so if you don't reserve in advance you will probally be turned away.

We were there during the peak Christmas-New Years season and have no complaints at all, whereas other travellers we spoke to had horror stories about their places. Candolim is a great beach to stay at: not as busy and crowded as Baga or others, but still active and close enough to join the parties. Some great restaurants on Candolim Beach Rd and even down on the beach (Jackson's Shack). Wish I was back in Goa now!! Thanks to Dilip and Kevin for such a great time.close

It's not a luxury resort but it's neat & clean, hardly 200 metres away from the famous Candolim beach in North Goa. The staff there, Kavitha and Dilip are very nice and treat the guests as their own family members. My room had an A/C, a refrigerator, closet and a sparkling clean bathroom with shower. All the rooms have attached balconies and the resort has a cute small well maintained garden. They do not have a restaurant of their own, but Famous restaurants like Just Chinese, Fisherman's Cove, Inferno are just a few steps away from the place. They do serve tea/coffee/ breakfast on request, and Kavitha offered me to have rice and fish Curry also when I wanted home made food, I can't forget such gestures ever. One can get bikes, taxis, ayurvedic massage centre and everything within 100 metres of the resort. Some of the best shacks as Sunny Side Up are on a walking distance from the resort. I also happened to meet the owner Kevin and his family when I was there to spend the new year, they are so loving and nice. If you talk about the tariff, it's just peanuts, the owner is just not money minded. It's simply a home away from home!!close

Every room comes with a private balcony overlooking a courtyard full of palm trees. Very relaxing and amazing for the price! The beach is just a short walk away and many restaurants and shops are nearby. The hostel is about an hour away from the airport and it costs around 700 rupees to reach it with a pre-paid taxi. Buses seemed to be a little confusing, so we didn't even try to use them to reach the hostel. My only complaint is that the beds are very hard. But I would still stay here again if I were to come back to Candolim Beach. A word on the beach: I would avoid going to the beach in the morning/noon, as you will constantly be harassed by people trying to sell you things/massage you/draw henna tattoos on you/etc. The afternoon is much more relaxing.close

The room was wonderful, clean, AC, excellent new bathroon - power shower. It was really close to the beach, and the lady owner was very helpful. I really enjoyed my time, but its not the best place in Goa for the beaches, I prefer the south, but I cant fault this hotel.
