One of the best bars in Galway city, located just of Quay St. It has 3 floors and is a great venue for meeting people with lively music. Can get a bit crowded over weekend.

Good bar in the centre of the city. Always pretty packed. Split over different levels. Live music upstairs. Always full of hen parties etc, but good craic all the same.

Great bar in the city centre. Cool decor, great music and great crowd. Very retro look and feel, some 50's and 60's furniture etc. Fab cocktails too. On 2/3 levels - can't remember exactly. big screens for sporting events. Best place ever to hang out on Sundays, nurse your hangover on the comfy couches, have some lunch cos the food is yum too. All in all it's great no matter what time of the day or night you pop in.

Had a nice lunch here on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We sat indoors and had lunch and a half bottle of white wine. Friendly staff, good value grub and a break from the sunny day. Have previously been in this pub on an evening visit, very busy and a nice vibe about the place.

McSwiggans is a great spot to settle yourself into on a rainy day and have a few scoops of the black stuff. Then, once the hunger pangs set in you can pop (or stroll, depending on how much of the black stuff you've had) upstairs and enjoy a tasty dinner. Their menu is extensive and always enjoyable. It is advisable to book though as it's a popular spot.

Halo is a rather impressive nightclub located on Upper Abbeygate Street. It is a rather large nightclub with at least 2 different floors - rather dark but good music and great craic. 10 euro cover charge and on a Saturday night be prepared to queue. Offers a loyalty card for frequent users. Drink was of average price. Plenty of security staff - all dressed very professionally

Recently opened bar on the docks. Great atmosphere and great music for a Saturday night. Although no offical dance floor we made our own. The music was just too good.

I just wanted to inform the public of the disgraceful treatment by the doorstaff on this premises ,I was travelling to Galway from Dublin with a friend of mine and was reccommended this pub by a friend. Upon entering the club myself and a friend of mine were manhandled by one of the security staff and dragged out by the arms? ?they let us in and then decided to pull us out with no reason or excuse. The Security staff were rude and aggressive. It was the first pub we hit on the night and has unfortunatley spoiled my opinion of Galway and put me off returning. they ought to be ashamed of themselves.
