Clean hostel & friendly staff. Short walk into the nearest village but besides that you would need a car to get around. Very quite hostel only bumped into a few other people. Recommended if you have your own car and want a quite place to stay.

4no hooks behind bathroom door to hang towel/clothes. the receptionist wasnt very welcoming!

1if you dont have a car with heavy bags, dont go. it's really really far far away to walk. but found a beautiful field of reeds 1 hr walk after. there are some pubs in 20 mins from hostel.

12It's off the beaten track - It's not in Galway, but a 40-60min drive North, and after you get off the bus, you havee to walk about 3/4s of a mile to the remote location. It is excellent for those traveling by car, and those on there way through the little town of Oughterard.

5one toilet and one bathroom for 3 bedrooms it's really an disadvantage !

4It's clean and nice kitchen. But it's too too too far from Galway city. If you have a car, it doesn't matter and I recommend this hostel but if you are just backpacker like me, don't go! Bus is only about 9 times(Buseireann+Citylinks) but if you miss 1 bus, you must wait more than 1 hour.

1This was a deal! The owners here are very kind and made me feel at home in their place. Lovely surrounding area with lots to do. I recommend it!

1This is a great place, contrary to other negative reviews. Beautiful quaint location just outside the splendid lakeside town of Oughterard. The place is straightforward without many frills, but it's very clean and well decorated. Would recommend!

2the welcoming wasn't really nice. The accomodation was really basic.if you go there it is just for sleeping.
