The place was very very dirty. Even worse was the fact that the place was full of drunk teenagers. We were woken up by some of them vomiting in the bathroom at 4 am and it didn't stop until 6! Even worse was the fact that the place was full of drunk teenagers. We were woken up by some of them vomiting in the bathroom at 4 am and it didn't stop until 6! That's no joke! Speaking of the bathroom you really were better off avoiding it. The staff weren't exactly friendly either. As we left that day we really wondered what they spent the 20 euro fee on. My recommendation is avoid this place until they get their act together.close

Staff were very friendly/knowledgeable. TV room is very nice. Nothing too extravagant, but perfect for anyone who just needs a place to sleep for a few nights. Great price.

NIce chilled out place to hang if u need to save some bucks. It's not really happening butrthe people there were friendly. Pretty laid back.

there was a room you could put your belongings but you could only have acceess to it until 1am. the rooms didnt have locks. it was fine to stay maybe one of two nights.

We absolutely loved Nimmos. There were only a couple toilets/showers for quite a few people, but it never really caused a problem. Plus there are sinks in the room. Excellent location and very homey feel with a great staff! Great for those that want a real hostel experience.

Don't get me wrong, this is a good choice if you're looking for a cheap way to sleep one night in Galway. But overall this hostel was not so clean and there's a rock club right next to it, which means you possibly won't get much sleep because of all the noise from the street. I'm not a very picky person but I have stayed in much worse hostels in my days. No funny smells in the rooms, showers had hot water and toilet paper was available too if you needed to .. :p Go check out Bleu Note in the vicinity (away from parade streets). They have a most excellent beergarden.

there was no security for our bagage, i saw a very big spider in the reception next to the brochures and other smallers in the wall. Dirty sheets and pillows, but nice recepcionist. I hope you get out this hostel from your website, I will not recommend it to anybody

Good place to stay if you need to stay in the centre of galway- and it is very cheap. However there was lots of noise coming from downstairs well into the morning. Bathrooms could do with a refurb and would recommend security lockers

On the one hand, it's not that clean, it's not that secure and the roof leaks. On the other hand, it's cheap, it's central and the owner turned a blind eye to us having a few cans of beer in our room before heading out for the night. Perfect if all you're looking for is a bed for the night.

No organisation. They did not know if they have enough room for my girlfriend and I. We add to wait until 10h00pm to know we could sleep on Bed. I dont recommand this hostel. Its very cheap but we did not have fun there.

they do not assign bed number, so it can happen that people will use your bed if you do not clearly mark it; this is a nuisance to say the less, especially if you discover it when back in the middle of the night and there are no more beds available and the staff has gone...

It's a pity that this well located hostel is so dirty and bad mantained. Some serious works need to be done (Showers broken and there is a hole on the entrance wall covered with a Simpsons poster!!). However, very friendly staff and very central, so not very bad last minute choice for one or two...

The beds were a bit shaky and the bathroom not that clean, but I've enjoyed my stay in Nimmo's more than in the other hostels. The staff are just extremely nice and everybody was very friendly... a much more friendly and familiar atmosphere than in all the other hostels!

the hostel is nice and fun thanks to the shared rooms! it has a foundamental problem:toilet are mixed!and there are very few WC and showers (in poor conditions!)...the location is exellent and the atmosphere is pleasant and friendly

The rates were incredibily high, the hostel was dirty and really bad. For example most of the mirrors, doors, etc were broken. it was a shame!

ugly place. We just stayed for sleeping and escaped before the breakfast. Kitchen was awful. Dorm rooms next to 5 pubs. Heavy noise the whole night. Stay away from this hostel!!

Stayed for 1 night in one of the front dorms. Didn't sleep a wink due to the noise from drunken yobs at the chipper across the street & traffic. The only lock in the place is on the front door. Overall, very poor value for €25 a night.
