We only stayed in Fussen one night, so we didn't get to experience much of the town itself. Pretty much everything shut down around 8 or so, even on a Saturday night. On our recent trip we found Fussen perfect for what we were looking for. We had already explored Berlin and Munich, so were looking for a quiet but beautiful place to relax. The trip up to Schloss Neuschwanstein was definitly worth it, and we spent most of the day just taking in the views from...more On our recent trip we found Fussen perfect for what we were looking for. We had already explored Berlin and Munich, so were looking for a quiet but beautiful place to relax. The trip up to Schloss Neuschwanstein was definitly worth it, and we spent most of the day just taking in the views from the bridge and mountains. The town itself is good for leisurely browsing the old cobbled streets, and sitting by the fountains. We took 2 seperate trips down to the lake Foggernsee, to have a go on the pedalo's and motor boats. It was very tranquil with amazing scenery, I definitly recommend this. Overall we really enjoyed staying in this town, and hope to do so again.close
