A very international city, with lots of things to do. |

A nice enough city but really just...a city. Kind of like anywhere else. The beach is nice, and the water warm, -- and it is home to the first Zen temple in Japan -- but Fukuoka is not a terribly exciting place. |

A pretty bland place. Go to Kyoto instead. |

Go to Fukuoko, and it is just a short ferry to Korea. |

Fukuoka is great city for night life and shopping. I went there in October and it seems it is the best time for nice weather. The most living part of the city is close to Tenjin subway station. You can get easily by subway also to the airport. Only problem: English is not understood by majority of Japanese and not every street has a name. |

Fukuoka is the bomb. It's small enough to get around, but big enough that you can get ANYTHING you want. Shopping, bars, dinning, everything was great!
All the store/hostel staff spoke English (with an 'L') and the people in the city are cheerfull to help you.
Best time of year is the winter time, it's plenty warm and you can avoid the crowds.

Fukuoka is a very nice city, close to other interesting places like Beppu and Kumamoto, which I went to and recommend! It was also pretty hot when I was there. I want to go back to Fukuoka some time in the future! |

Fukuoka was to Japan how St. Louis is to America, not he main city with tons of stuff to do, but its still Japan and it was a great place to visit. So easy to go from Korea by the Beetle ferry. |

This is the place in Japan to go out until the early hours and drink like a fish. There are a number of \"foreigner bars\" with interesting names, but great drinks specials. Good enough to come back for. |
