   IT WAS TOO NOISY AND DIRTY - THERE WAS MOULD ON THE WALLS. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT A CAT JUMPED THROUGH THE WINDOW AND SAT ON MY BED - I WAS TOLD THIS IS NORMAL FOR CATS TO COME INTO THE DORMS???? WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE NOISE ETC THE NEXT DAY THE GIRL ON THE DESK LAUGHED!

2. Backpackers Inn - Freo YHA 77%      

   Good hostel, good location.. Kitchen could do with being checked now and again for washing up liquid, tea towels etc.. staff a little unfriendly.. but great tv hall and drinking courtyard..

   Actually a very good hostel - but a bit on the large & expensive side. Lots to offer - but they charge for most of it.

3. Old Firestation 76%      

   This place is an experience if nothing else and if in Freo you should visit. Its very close to the train station and handy for town. Its quite old and ramshackle but it definitely has character.

   The hostel itself is great. Free Internet, pool, lots of dvds and vhs to watch on the big screen. Clean in the showers and toilets. There are messy people in the kitchen which gets a bit of a headache when you want to cook. Bit of a party hostel at the weekends and I find that some people have...
