“ Had lunch at Stock with my son, who took advantage of the £13.50 fixed price menu, I had a pasta dish as a main. Quite busy for a Wednesday, with people coming in even at 2.30pm. Very friendly and efficient staff, nice surroundings. I prefer the menu as it is now compared to the rather "heavier" more stodgy one of a few years ago, and would certainly go back. ”

“ Stock is a beautiful restaurant with wonderful ambience. We went for the pre-theatre set menu deal which was really good value, but the mains on the a la carte menu were pretty extortionate and the food was tasty but not exceptional, certainly not justifying £20 a main. ”

“ Went to Stock for a second visit on Friday early evening. Food was amazing as previously. Was a little disappointed with the service this time as we were kept waiting for a while to order dessert, however, was better than being rushed through 3 courses. Would still highly recommend this restaurant as the food was wonderful yet again and the staff were all friendly & helpful. ”

“ Can't help but agree with other reviews. Gorgeous setting, fantastic potential, very very good food, let down by mediocre service. Very enjoyable valentine's evening, great singer, nicely set tables, good food but absolutely no good humoured interaction, as far as staff were concerned it was "get em in - get em fed - get their money - get them out, get the next lot in. Great pity really, I wouldn't rush back. ”

“ Attended Stock on a Thursday night. Restaurant itself is very impressive and really liked that we got a big booth table for only 2 people. Food was amazing and very good size portions plus a really wide choice. Service was prompt and staff were very helpful. Had live music (man playing a guitar) on for some of the meal which was really good and really added to the atmosphere. A really lovely restaurant which I would highly recommend. Will certainly be returning soon. ”
