“ I have eaten at Chaophraya a few times and have never had a bad meal, although i think the soups have a little bit too much lemaongrass in them (the ones i've tried)the staff are always friendly and helpfullwould recommend them any time ”

“ Chaophraya denied having received our booking from Toptable - disconcerting as we were celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday! Staff were offhand. My sizzling platter was not sizzling at all and when I sent it back, it was returned so sizzling that it spattered onto our clothes - were they trying to make a point? Otherwise we enjoyed the food which was very tasty and the atmosphere was good (Tues). Make sure you don't pay the service charge twice - the way the bill is itemised is misleading. ”

Description of Chaophraya - Manchester from toptable.com
"Lucky Manchester. It's the first city to gain a sibling of the superbly successful Leeds Thai restaurant, Chaophraya (pronounced chow-pie-a) The most impressive feature of this stunning two-floored space above Sam's Chop House on Chapel Walks is the huge art installation-like display of fresh sealife by the kitchen. The big, big menu features all the usual suspects alongside sizeable salads and filling, fragrant soups, but also six curries reflecting regional specialties. If in the mood for spice, order no.35, a red curry. And it gives way more than a nod to vegetarians. Presentation is second to none, and fabulous staff provide a brilliant, faultless service. Chaophraya is the kind of place that you can't wait to recommend to those who've yet to discover this Thai beauty."
