This is a really great hostel with excellent facilities and really clean and spacious dorms! The breakfast was simply delicious and large, to say the least, wow! The only clear improvement I can think of is filter coffee for breakfast rather than instant. You can count on me being back in...

VERY worth the value though!close

Best youth hostel in Manchester. Staff are very nice. The facilities are modern and clean. The design is colourful and great, you'd hardly believe it's a youth hostel.

We thought it was rather strange-and not nice having somebody we didnt know-or they not knowing us staying in our room. It wasnt fair on her hearing us coming in after a night out. Plus we didnt get any warning!

The bed linen was a bit uncomfortable because of it being polyester more than cotton

I liked the hostel, I put average for the location because it is a bit out of the centre of town, but the river along side the hostel kind of makes up for it :) Thanks!

I stayed here with a group of friends. Our visit was purposely to go to Alton Towers, but we stopped over in Manchester for the night. YHA hostels usually are pretty good, The rooms were basic but very clean. The food in the hostel wasn't the best and could have been better quality.

Excellent staff and a nice view from the dining room. A very organized and properly planned youth hostel. It can't be better than what it is (EXCEPT that I got very stained, rusty bed sheets).

The bathroom was a bit small however the biggest problem was the carpet. I stayed there 6 days and the carpet was not hoovered not even once. It was smelly and dirty. Not a nice sight. In desperate need of refitting.
