It is really a nice hostel. Not big, and with really friendly staff (I definetaley would say that\'s the best part). They helped me preparing my trip to Upper Egypt and Alexandria and everything went just as I thought, maybe even better. No complaints at all. I only have to thank… more

Not amazingly clean (the beds and linens smelled dust) but average for Egypt. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is great for exploring Cairo. You are across the street from the Egyptian museum and just about 2 blocks from the Metro and the restaurants and shopping of… more

One of the more polluted destinations I\'ve ever encountered. Especially in Islamic Cairo in the markets. That place is filthy. Other than that, Cairo is not at all reflective of the rest of egypt, make sure you get out of the city and see more if you visit. Cairo is a typical big… more

Cairo was great but here is a tip. 1. Do not let someone take you to the stables at Giza unless you are more interested in riding than in seeing the pyramids. The relativelyly expensive camel tour kept us so far from the pyramids and sphinx we had to go back by ourselves a second day.… more

Cairo big, dirty, crowded and chaotic. Every time you step off the plane you can expect to be greeted with hordes of people shouting offers of taxis, hotels, buses etc. There is no denying it can be a shock to system. But once you spend a little time here, you realise that for such a crowded… more

loved egypt...everywhere else is cheaper than cairo though, makes sense because its a huge city. be prepared for chaos and sprinting across the st. cab rides are so cheap though so avoid getting lost and taking cabs everywhere.

For anyone who has high expectations of Cairo, you\'d probably end up feeling the same way I did when I arrived into the city. This is by far the dirtiest city i\'ve been to with the most amount of CO2 levels being outputted by all the old vehicles. All the street signs were in… more

Very friendly and helpful staff, they help arrange trips, bus tickets. Really hospipatble place. Rooms are spotlessly clean, bathrooms also. Beds comfortable. All in all, a good place, and for the price, a terrific value. I can recommend this place with a good heart to everyone

The worst thing about Egypt was the markets in Aswan and Luxor they were a nightmare. You could not escape the traders. perhaps at busy times they are less painful. Cairo markets were fantastic.

What more can be said of the Arab capital? Mosque galore, awesome shopping (from designer clothing to sheesha's!), the Pyramids of Giza, women in abeyya's and hijab's, crowded streets and oozing with so much character, Cairo simply rocks!
