The Old Town is very small it takes about 1-1½ hours to stroll the Old Town walls but about 15 minutes to cross from side to side. Overall though there is an overwhelming feeling that the Old... more The Old Town is very small it takes about 1-1½ hours to stroll the Old Town walls but about 15 minutes to cross from side to side. The streets running perpendicular to the Stradun are very narrow and some have lots of very steep steps. Overall though there is an overwhelming feeling that the Old Town is extremely safe and secure. The Police are rarely seen. There's no shortage of pubs and restaurants all with seating outside. The shops in the Old Town are tiny and aimed at tourists. There are plenty of jewellers, a lovely leather goods shop and the like. There are more and larger stores in the newer part of the city.close
