The room itself was extremely clean and spacious, although a ceiling fan was needed as nights got very hot. Maria was very friendly although she spoke no English. Overall accommodation was fine. Maria was very friendly although she spoke no English. Overall accommodation was fine. Some things to note - hot water ran out quickly for showers, there are many stairs to climb, rooms do not have kitchen access or security lockers and privacy is limited as the rooms are in amongst Maria's family rooms!close

Maria is very friendly, its like staying with a relative, she knocks on your door to deliver some freshly picked grapes...

it is on a hill behind the castle.you have an excellent view of dubrovnik but you have to climb two hundred steps up.the lady did not speak english but we managed to understand.and she was very very very clean. Nice room to stay in a good location.

Accommodation Maria was exceptionally clean, very secure and had a great view from the old town - which was only a short 10 min walk away. Maria doesnt speak much english so she not the best tour guide, but she is very nice and even gave me food and drink when I arrived.

Very hard to find. Maria apeaks no english and seemed disapointed when we gave her the final payment,like she was expecting more.

Due to a double booking or maybe just good luck we actually stayed in Appartment Mauro which is above the owner's house. It's normally much more expensive than Appartment Maria - but the location and sea view from the garden are fantastic

Really loved staying with Maria. Great location just 10 mins walk from old town. She doesn't speak much English but is friendly and lovely. She has a lovely house and garden and lets you come and go as you please. An excellent place to stay in Dubrovnik!!

This is quite a walk from the center.. three hundred steps up to be exact (we counted.) The room was small and a bit stuffy with no possiblity for a breeze since the single small window opens to a wall thats only three feet away. Our biggest concern was that Maria seemed to have no idea that we were coming, and the language barrier was such that we could not explain that we had already paid a $16 deposit through Hostelworld.close

It was a nice place to stay and reasonably priced. The view was lovely as was Maria. It was very difficult to find however: it was up a lane but had no number on the door - we were at the point of giving in and finding somewhere else to stay when Maria came out into the garden. (a street...

WOW ! We upgrad our rental and took the Ramona apartment (same owner). We add an incredible view from the private terrasse ! Only 10 minutes walk from the old city. The owners are really kinds ! Great prices !!!

Staying with Maria was great. Her house is a 10 minute walk to the old town and she is a very hospitable woman (although her english skills a bit lacking...) I would definitely recommend this accomodation.
