Last summer I took part in Celtic experience tour organised by Over the top tours in Dublin. They promise to show Ireland in a way that larger coach companies cannot.<br><br> I personally prefer buses to small minivans as you seem to have more space and better view from the bus window. However, the advantages of the tours in small minivans are that you can get to know small group better, ask questions as there are only about 8 people in a minivan. <br><br>You can easily have a communication with your driver and a tour guide in one person. He was great, funny and very energetic presenting the information and places in a very interesting way. I personally do not think that it could have been presented better. There were more vans leaving for different tours by this company and ours was about half an hour late, but I think that it was worth waiting. <br><br>We explored the Hill of Tara, monasteries and high crosses of Mellifont Abbey and Monasterboice, prehistoric tombs and Hill of Slane. <br><br>You can learn a lot about Celtic history and some knowledge can be quite surprising e.g. Celtic people did not have red hair. We had lunch in a pub and it is also a good time to speak and socialise with people from your minivan. <br><br>Overall a good experience but the tour organisers could be more punctual.close
