Guinness Storehouse is Dublin number 1 visitor attraction. No Dublin holiday is complete without a trip to this storehouse. You can learn everything about producing Guinness from ingredients, brewing process to its taste as you will get your free pint of Guinness on the 7th floor.

The price for an adult is 14 Euro but it is definitely worth to see. The only problem is that it is not right in the city centre but you can get there easily on foot along the river and have a nice walk. Hop on hop off bus can also take you there.

I really recommend visiting this building, which gives a good insight into Irish History. Built in 1792, it is Ireland's most famous disused prison. It held throughout the years many famous Nationalists and Republicans in members of the Society of United Irishmen (1798), Young Irelanders (c1840s), Fenians and Land agitators, Parnell, Davitt. The leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising were executed here. It is also where famous movies like "In the name of the Father" were filmed.

Not to be missed by anyone visiting Dublin! Exhibitions include the finest collection of prehistoric gold artefacts in western Europe, outstanding examples of metalwork from the Celtic Iron Age, as well as the Museum’s world-renowned collection of medieval ecclesiastical objects and jewellery.

The Broighter Hoard, the Ardagh Chalice, the Tara Brooch and Derrynaflan Hoard are among the masterpieces on display. Try to join one of the excellent free guided visits!

Dublin Zoo is a fantastic place to visit. Get the number 10 bus from the city centre. Stop off at the tea rooms in the Phoenix Park and then go into the zoo - there is so much to see - esp the mini farm and the safari park.

Really good thing to do while you are in Dublin, the building is amazing and its really interesting too to see the story and history around guinness. The floor where they show all the advertising campaigns down through the years was particuarly good. Also the bar at the top called Gravity bar is really cool and you get great views of the whole city as well as free pint of Guinness.

For only EUR15 you can get to see the whole city and since Dublin is so small it only takes 90 minutes. We used it twice (it was valid for 24 hrs) and got off at all the sites we wanted to see! Great

This should be a great tour. It's got all the ingredients. However, we suffered the most obnoxious guide who used crass humour throughout and (not knowing we were locals) made up stuff as he went along. Pity!

One of Dublin's main attractions, but just not much to see... A quite boring museum. The bar on the top has a great view on a sunny day and you do get a free guinness - well, after paying 14 Euro in that is.

Pop in whever you need a bit of art-inspiration. Big museum, but you don't have to see everything at once... Check out a temporary exhibition or some of the permanent paintings. Shop is great with all art books and related gadgets. Free in as well!

Irish Film Institute is a cinema but also a bar where you can get few drinks with your friends in a really great atmosphere. It is not expensive and in summer it is really nice because you have got a small terrace just hidden behind the cinema in a small place. It is really intimate. You can also eat. It is not really gastronomy but it is great and cheap. It is a nice place to start your evening in Dublin

An hour's guided tour through this castle that doesn't really look like one. Beautiful interior and cool that the building is in use. They even take you downstairs under ground so you can see the original castle walls.

Chill out here between all shopping, drinking and walking. Bring some lunch and a book and sit down on the grass with all the others. Lovely gem with water, flowers and trees...

This tour is one of my favourites and a must for any visitor to Dublin. Architecturally its amazing. If you don’t go for the option of a guided tour you are escorted around by one of the master brewers by video. Highlights are the tasting half way through and your free pint of the blackstuff at the end in the Gravity bar with a good panoramic view of Dublin city. At €13 entrance its well worth it.

The cathedral is beautiful and really stands out. the architecture of the building and interior is lovely. They have services all the time and sometimes parts are restricted so find out before you go. They also have a lovely garden in the front where the locals have lunch!

If going shopping be sure to shop around, prices vary greatly depending on what street you are on! Some big shops exclusive to Dublin are Brown Thomas, Clerys, Arrnotts and then lots of small boutiques

Steeped in history pay a visit to this bank. You aren't allowed take photos because it trades as a bank daily but the high ceilings and the original fire places etc are worth taking a look. The old canons outside are cool too

You can choose from a selection of Wicklow tours departing from Dublin. I have picked the Wild Wicklow tour as I prefer buses to small minivans. Small minivans may have access to places where buses cannot drive but on the other hand you can have a better view from your bus window. The driver was also a tour guide and she did a great job giving us detailed information about the places and Irish history. I suppose it is different when the bus is full especially on weekends but we had many empty seats and the atmosphere in the bus was great. I would especially recommend this tour to people who are interested in history. It starts with a short city tour and follows with a coastal drive past Dan Laoghaire, Dalkey and Killiney. You can have morning coffee and do some shopping in Avoca. The most beautiful spot was Glendalough with its upper and lower lakes. You can have about half an hour walk along the lake and meet the bus driver on the agreed spot. The nature in Glendalough is beautiful. It is also a great place to visit if you like walking as there are many walking trails. St. Kevin’s monastic settlement and cemetery is also impressive. We had a lunch in the pub and finished our tour with Sally Gap adventure. The cost of the tour is 28 Euro per adult but considering the fact that return bus ticket from Dublin to Glendalough is 16 Euro and there are only 2 buses a day, you will not regret spending this money, especially if you want to see as much as possible in one day. They have a few pick up places in Dublin, so you can get on the bus from the place that is nearest to your accommodation.

Last summer I took part in Celtic experience tour organised by Over the top tours in Dublin. They promise to show Ireland in a way that larger coach companies cannot.

I personally prefer buses to small minivans as you seem to have more space and better view from the bus window. However, the advantages of the tours in small minivans are that you can get to know small group better, ask questions as there are only about 8 people in a minivan.

You can easily have a communication with your driver and a tour guide in one person. He was great, funny and very energetic presenting the information and places in a very interesting way. I personally do not think that it could have been presented better. There were more vans leaving for different tours by this company and ours was about half an hour late, but I think that it was worth waiting.

We explored the Hill of Tara, monasteries and high crosses of Mellifont Abbey and Monasterboice, prehistoric tombs and Hill of Slane.

You can learn a lot about Celtic history and some knowledge can be quite surprising e.g. Celtic people did not have red hair. We had lunch in a pub and it is also a good time to speak and socialise with people from your minivan.

Overall a good experience but the tour organisers could be more punctual.

A collection of art from around the globe more particularly from Asia with these wonderful Samurai's armours. An outstanding collection of Indian and Persian paintings. It also offers an interesting insight into the main monotheist religions, presenting in between other treasures an ancient manuscript written by Saint Paul. A wonderful journey around the world cultures and what is best.... It is free.

Powerscourt Garden. It´s a nice old castle with a beautiful park around. You have the possibility to make the big tour (one hour) or the little tour (1/2 hour) through the park. You will see a tower, the Jananese Garden, the Animal Cemetry...

After visiting Powerscourt Garden you can make a trip too a beautiful Waterfall (it is the biggest one in Ireland...)! You can take the shuttle bus.

It's a modern painting museum, it's a collection of impressionism and early 20th century; there are Monet, Manet and a reconstruction of the Francis Bacon Studio with few paintings from him. Sometime they play concerts in this building.

What's all the fuss about i thought, Why do so many people go visit a brewery?

I know that the lives of the Irish seem to revolve around Guinness so I decided to enlighten myself. Although I found it interesting, I thought it dragged out a bit.

After the tour we went up to the gravity bar to sample the product and look out upon Dublin. It was a lovely clear March afternoon while I was there so it was perfect.

Living in Dublin for 10 years I only recently went to visit our number 1 tourist attraction ... The Guinness Storehouse. I was surprised I must admit.

I didn't think the story and history of a beer would be very interesting. I was wrong. Its a highly entertaining and informative visit and afterwards head up for your free pint to the Gravity Bar for spectacular panoramic views of Dublin.

At night see the lights of the city . During the day take a walk along the cliffs and enjoy the spectacular views . Idealy there is a lovely pub just beside it where you an enjoy a nice lunch or just have a pint. You can allow yourself these extra indulgences because this experience is Free.

Having long threatened a visit to the capital's zoo, I took the 'bull by the horns' so to speak and took advantage of a sunny morn to travel along and visit. 3 year old in toe it was certainly a great family day out. The facilities are great, lots of places to eat or have a picnic, good baby/toddler facilities too! In this animal kingdom i have to say my favourites included the seals and the penguins. The Gorilla enclosure to me was a little sad, but that's possibly because these great creatures have an intellegance and presence about them which kinda makes us humans feel more than a little humbled! But get along and visit if you can!

For something other than drinking Guinness in Dublin I love a night at the movies. Movies@ do it with a twist, they have a VIP area where you get to sit in big comfy, reclining seat while watching a movie, you also get popcorn and drinks included in the price. Cinema is in Dundrum Town Centre which is only 15 mins by luas (tram) from St Stephens Green. Dundrum itself is a great shopping centre and worth a visit.

Croke Park is located in Drumcondra, north Dublin and is the headquarters of the GAA. Recently rugby and soccer matches have been held here. The stadium holds over 90,000 people and is a great venue for concerts. The GAA museum here is worth visiting.

Avoca Handweavers has many locations - best one is in Kilmacanogue which is only reachable by car or on a sightseeing tour so the one reviewed here is on Dublin's Suffolk St. Avoca was traditionally one of those shops where you could buy clothing made on traditional weaving machines. Now it is a dynamic collection of womens clothing, jewellery, pottery, homeware, there is a nice cafe and you can buy food and irish cookbooks etc to take away. Well worth a visit.

The Gate is one of the oldest theatres in Dublin. Located at the top of O' Connell Street on Parnell Square it showcases some of Ireland's favourite dramatic productions. The interior is a little worn, but still holds its own against other venues. Productions are normally fully booked especially at weekends. The confectionary and drinks are as expensive as you'd expect.

We enjoyed a very in-depth tour of Ireland's premium sports stadium and home of the national sports, GAA hurling and Gaelic football. The stadium is massive. The guided tour brought us through the dressing rooms, premium and corporate levels, the VIP section, media centre, service areas and, of course, pitch side.

A museum dedicated to that which is uniquely Irish. The GAA. For those who dont know, The GAA is the association responsible for all aspects of the native Irish sports Gaelic Football (think a cross between soccer, rugby and basketball) and Hurling, (a cross between olympic handball and hockey. Now therse are fantastic sports to watch and the museum in Croker chronicles the origins of the games ... Gives video clips of games and winners and is an interesting tour. Allow about an hour. The stadium itself is breathtaking and at the end of the tour you can even try your hand at hitting targets with a football and a hurley. Not too far from the city centre. 8 minutes by bus or 20 minutes on foot.

If you are Irish, going to the Croke Park museum is a bit like going to the Zoo, its only acceptable as a school tour, and after that people may start to look at you strangely when you tell them you where you have been at the weekend. I did have a valid excuse however, I had some friends visiting for the weekend and I lived only 5 minutes walk from Croke Park, so it was an easy sell. And you know what? I really enjoyed it! They run guided tours around the stadium every half hour during busy times and you are also free to wander around the museum at your leisure. The tour of the stadium was interesting and the tour guide was both informative and funny, which always helps. Croke Park is pretty impressive and sitting on the stands looking around its easy to imagine the noise of up to 70,000 people during a match day. The museum is extremely interactive, there is a great audio visual section showing the history of the GAA and of its place in Irish history and society, and lots of nice features that allow you to find you the history of your local GAA Club for example. Its also good for those who know nothing about the sport, My friends knew nothing about either football or hurling and they also found it really good, and there was enough information to give them a pretty good overall idea of what the GAA is and how it's affected family life here. There is a nice section for kids with lots of games to test your agility, hand eye coordination etc, as well as a place where you can practise your skills with a football or hurley which seemed to prove a hit with the grown ups as well as the kids.

Dublin's newest shopping centre - located in Dundrum suburb of Dublin South. You can get the Luas from St Stephens Green and be there in about 15 mins. The shopping centre is huge and has some well know shops and department stores like House of Fraser, Harvey Nichols, M&S, French Connection, Tommy Hilfiger, Coast, BT2, River Island, Sisley and lots more. There is also a really big cinema called Movies at Dundrum. You can choose from different restaurants like Milanos or Mao. It's open late every night of the week so you can do late night shopping any night. It's my favourite place to go shopping in Dublin.

瑜伽时间 - It's Time for Yoga!

Being only €3 for Adults, and Children under 16 free the Guinness Store house is brilliant value for money! It's also an amazing place! Your ticket is a plastic orb with an original drop of Guinness inside. On the underside of the ticket is a rubber band that you can exchange for a Pint(Adults) or Soft drink (Kids). The building brings you through the history of Guinness, the making process and many other fun things. You can test yourself to see if you can "pull the perfect pint", leave a message on the wall even. Once you have made your way upstairs to the "Skybar" you are given breathtaking views of Dublin city and surrounding areas. Weather permitting you can see up to 15Kilometres. A great place to learn, enjoy and relax!
