Looking for free entry, big dance floor, late open and a lively bar then this is the place. On the edge of Temple Bar it is really big with a couple of bars in it and downstairs opens up after 11 at weekends as a dance hall with DJ's and live bands. Always good for a laugh |

If you like place with something special, run until the temple bar music centre which is dedicated to all the kinds of music. You can see rock concert and 1 hour after you could be in a techno party with a dj set of Daft punk. You could meet really nice people and discover the friendly atmosphere of Dublin nightlife. |

This bar is good for both a Saturday coffee and late night drinks. Good atmosphere and nice staff. Go downstairs and it's a bit more clubby. Good cafe latte! |

Big loud gay bar in the centre of Dublin, nightclub in the evenings, crazy drag events on Sundays. |

Live Irish music, several small rooms to drink or eat in. Supposedly the oldest pub in Ireland. Dollar bills on the walls and a bit touristy, but still a good place for a drink once in a while. |

A Moroccan style bar located on Dublin trendy Dawson St. Good bar for chilling out over a few cocktails mid week, can get a bit too crowed at weekends so try and get there early. The cocktails are fab but they are expensive!! |

One of the best pubs in Dublin, all walks of life drink here and the music is great. Nothing like a pint in 'The Foggy' on a Saturday afternoon |

Nice bar with cool tunes and large wooden communal tables. Right on Gerorges St so great location. But when they flash the lights for last orders they mean it! Even on a Saturday night we were ushered out the door before 12 midnight! Still worth popping in for a pint though if you are passing! |

Great pub, especially on summer evenings when you can sit outside. Really lively from Thursday to Sunday |

This is a great 'local' where table service still exists and the staff will always have a chat when they drop the Guinness down to your table. They have lots of screens for matches, a lovely beer garden for smoking and they even serve Italian food from the restaurant upstairs. Doesn't get much better. Also its customers are a nice mix of locals and new inhabitants in the area...Its in Rialto village, but worth the 15 minutes fom town on the Luas!! |

This is gig venue come late bar. They do food at lunch time and early in the evening, the downstairs is the bar area and upstairs is the gig venue that turns into late night bar with DJ. This is one of my favourite spots, generally go on Thursday/Friday as I find it has a nice crowd then, Saturday can be packed sometimes. Price of drinks does go up after 11 which is the only negative thing about the place, if you like it a little grungy head to Whelans next door. Pic is me with my friend JD giving it socks on the dance floor after a pub crawl.. |

This is a large bar on Dublin's south side. Good for after work pints or if you're on your way to gigs at Wheelans or the Village. It has a little beer garden outside for smokers and for warm days. |

If you are after Irish traditional music and dancing, the Oliver St. John Gogarty is the right pub for you to visit in Dublin. It is located in the heart of Dublin city centre in Temple Bar. Their music sessions run almost non stop. The band is so great and they really interact with the crowd. They have their regular players as well as a special guest every week. The place can be quite packed on weekends but it is definitely worth the experience. While enjoying music, you can have a good meal in their bar for reasonable prices. They also have a traditional Irish restaurant on the second floor where you can try local favourites such as Dublin Bay Mussels or sliced smoked salmon. If you do not require silence while you try to fall asleep, you can book accommodation with them as they also run hostel in the same building.
Oliver St. John Gogarty is also a place where you can start musical pub crawl. It is led by two professional musicians who play songs and tell the stories. It is very interesting and you can learn about influences of Irish traditional music on world contemporary music. Musical pub crawl starts at Oliver St. John Gogarty and from there you will be taken to other famous pubs and bars in Temple Bar area. It is a great fun and the lovers of music should definitely not miss it. |

Nice pub/bar with a rather student vibe. Nice down to earth kind of crowd. The music is alternative. They also have live jazz sessions on Sunday nights. This place is also part of the famous Ri-Ra club. |

So if ya want to do a bit of karaoke this is your place. They have a small bar upstairs where they serve food and drinks. They serve mostly Asian beers and food - also have sake. You can rent a "booth" downstairs and this is where the karaoke comes in. Its 25 euro an hour, you could fit 8 in their comfortably enough. The song list is pretty extensive and its great fun. |

One of Dublins most famous nightclubs. But its probably the place people love to hate! If you want a cheesy night out in an overcrowded joint then this is the place for you. It has a decent smoking area and hs expanded in the past year. |

A good place for a few beers after work. Coronas always go down well here on a sunny Friday evening.
If you're lucky, you'll get a few free beers and some food during the promotions.
Pity that they stopped people from being able to sit across the street with their beers...not much of a beer garden now - more like a shadowy beer patio :-) |

The Stags Head is a traditional pub situated on Dame Court in the city centre. It has bars on three floors and is still a very popular meeting point for Dubliners. All types of punters can be found here from near and far. It is quite cheap considering its city centre location. |

Kehoe's, is a traditional Dublin Pub, located on South Anne Street just of Grafton Street. The bar is decorated in the style of an old Dublin pub, with stylish wood fittings, a very narrow bar and an intimate snug at the front and a bigger snug at the back.Get there early on a weekend night, as it tends to get very busy. |

I take the comparatively long drive to Dublin at least once a month to go to Whelans. Famous for great live music they serve a niche often overlooked. theres usually a small cover charge, depending on the band and its a great place to showcase new Irish talent. See if you can spot the next Van Morrisson, U2, Thin Lizzy or Westlife... actually, we're not as proud of that last one. The last gig I was at in Whelans was The Frank & Walters ... Think it was about €15.. |

The sign outside this bar made me curious .... 4 bars on 4 levels, rooftop smoking garden. So, along with two 25 year old friends we headed up to the door. your too young my friend was told. he promplly produced identification proving he had reached the quarter century mark.... Your too drunk he was told although he was wearing a pioneer badge and has never taken an alcoholic drink in his life. when we did eventually get in it wasn't worth it. Overpriced, half empty, undesirable girls and no atmosphere. dont bother with it. maybe it's ok during the day on the rooftop bar with an Irish Coffee and a smoke but as for the bar/nightclub dont waste your time. |

The international Bar - My favourite pub in Dublin. A great mix of people. Tourists, Office Workers, Builders, wealthy people, poor people, students, pensioners. Its small and cozy in here and you are always greeted with a smile. It hasnt changed in years and is very old fashioned looking but thats part of the charm. They do great comedy upstairs here too on a Monday and Wednesday night ... and I think jazz on Tuesday's. Brilliant spot. Make sure you come here. |

This is an example of a true Irish pub where the very soul of Dublin pub culture can be found. It was dark and a bit dingy though. The pub is steeped in history. I had no complaints with the pints served tho. |

This is a hotel too. The bar is fantastic. I love this place. They even have a rooftop terrace with a full bar... A must see. The bar also boasts the largest screen in Dublin, great for those footie matches. A nightclub is even on the premises too.... Everyting under the one roof. What more could you possibly need.... |

Although this has been previously reviewed as a restaurant, it really is the quintisential Dublin Pub. great to prop up against the bar. A famous mulligans pint in one hand and a nice long chat with one of the ... erm... "residents" who is bound to keep you entertained with stories. the website is www.mulligans.ie and 353 (0) 1 6775582 will get them on the phone. |

This pub is really trendy and cool. Hogans has a main bar, a side bar and a DJ dowstairs belting out all the lates tunes. Hogans used to be the place to start your night off but now it is where everyone ends up at the end of the night. It's a little gem. |

A laid-back lounge atmosphere in this place; chunky armchairs and low tables make up much of the seating in here.Inside it's relaxed, the lounge-staff are friendly and the beer is good. |

Oliver St. John Gogartys really has everything under 1 roof. Self catering apartmants and a youth hostel and a great pub/restaurant. The pub is very lively and very much traditionally Irish. A great mix of tourists and locals looking to score with tourists. The food here is good and I challenge you to finish the t-bone steak. Its a big one. Overall, a Great and enjoyable pub. The risk with these mainstream touristy pubs is it may get tacky but this is not the case with Olivers, and the exterior of the building is stunning. |

This is a typical old Dublin boozer. It has maintained its popularity over the years. A mix of people can be found in this pub, from office workers to students and buskers. It's a lively spot and gets packed very quickly. |

This is the oldest pub in Ireland. This pub is not only worth a visit for historic purposes but it is also Dublin's best live music venue too. If the sun is out head out to the cobbled stone courtyard. |
It's a pub and live performance venue. It's an intimate venue. There is always different acts performing. This is perhaps the city's best place to see live music up close. |

This place is like a large warehouse, With the absence of background music, all you can hear is the hum of people chatting about the great food this place serves. |
Nice bar for after work drinks, or a catch-up with friends. They don't play any music which is a bit strange at first cos you are used to hearing music in nearly every bar in Dublin. They serve great tapas too and are reasonably priced. |
Tourist trap, but it's a good laugh. They always have live Irish music bands and you get to meet people from all over. It's on the pricey side and if you are looking to experience real irish pubs I wouldn't say this is it, but at the same time it's entertaining! |

This is one of my regular spots, if you want to get away from your cheesy tunes it's the place to go. To get in for free get there before 11 (I think), you can drink away in the front bar and listen to some great music, when the gig that is on in the back is finished you can head in there to let loose and dance until 3am(ish)! It's one of the best gig venues in dublin also, worth checking out who is playing when you're around. |

Great pub for a Sunday afternoon pint! This is a great pub for having a chat, whether in a group or just a few friends, music is never too loud. It's just off Grafton street, which makes it easy for everyone to get too, even if to just start your night. |
This is now called Dragon, it is also one of the more popular gay bars in Dublin. It's open late and the atmosphere is always really good. |

This place is worth a visit, word of advice arrange to meet your friends at the bar or just outside. It's like an old house so has lots of coves, corners and little rooms. You can drink outside while having a cigarette, if that takes your fancy but also when you see the crowd outside don't be put off there is generally a bit of room inside. |
Great location, it's just off Grafton Street. Old style dublin pub. Seems to get a slightly older crowd so if you are looking to get away from the youngsters it's great for a pint. |

Haven't been to this place in a long time but it's not for me. It's in Temple bar which as a local I try to avoid. Bit of a 'meat market' and never enjoy the atmosphere, there are better places to go |

The Market Bar is tucked away in a laneway off George's Street in Dublin, once you walk in however it is so big! The atmosphere is very relaxed with gorgeous tapas style food. Great for sharing, so the place is perfect for a group night out. For what you get, and the quality of food, the price is quite cheap. |

This is an excellent bar just off George's Street, It's popular for after work drinks and food. They have an excellent Tapas menu with decent size portions. It feels really big because the ceiling is so high, great for parties. They don't play music which sounds odd, but once you are chatting away with friends you don't even notice. |

Copper Faced Jacks is a Bar/Restaurant popular with lunchtime office workers looking to save a few cents on a carvery lunch.
It's a dark and... how can I put it nicely... not-so-clean place that serves up very average food in reasonably large portions at an attractive price. It appears to be one of those pubs that use the combination of "old world" decor and very poor lighting to hide a relaxed attitude to cleaning. In fairness, they have made an effort more recently to clean the place up, but the image of a row of used chewing gums - stuck about head height on a wall trimming beside my table - has lasted with me. When you consider that this is also a nightclub, you... well, you get my point. |

Great place for late night out. Live DJ on the decks, nice crowd and open til after 3am which is always good! They have an upstairs section too which has different music to downstairs. Its open late pretty much every day of the week, apart from Sunday when it closes at 12.30. Music varies from hip-hop, to soul, rock and funk. They have large couches so if you're lucky enough to find yourself on one of them, it will be hard to leave! |

Great bar in the centre of Rathmines. Its great bar for a Friday or Satuday night - nice crowd, great tunes and its open late. If you are looking for somewhere chilled for afternoon drinks and some lunch then its the place to go. They have the best chilli fries ever! And the staff are really friendly. |

Hello, the pub itself is not very special, but what makes it special is the atmosphere. According to my estimation based on my Saturday and Sunday afternoon and night visits, about 30% visitors are Czech, 40% Slovaks and the rest 30% people are mixture of Irish, Spanish, Chineese - basicaly anybody a bit interested in Czech food or Czech beer. There could be also a large group of other people on special occasions - i.e. when ice hockey match between Czech Republic and Canada was on, you could meet there a significant number of people from Canada. |

This is Bono's bar, and can they make cocktails. It is located in the Clarence Hotel and is most times not as busy as the other bars in temple bar (this is a good thing if you want to hear the people you are talking too and enjoy good service). The cocktails and the bar food are fab. I personally like this entire hotel and can't say enough of good things about it. |

Johnnie Fox's Pub is near Stepaside village in Dublin, about 25-35 minutes drive from Dublin City centre. It is a traditional irish pub specialising in seafood, guiness and tradtional irish music. The well known hooley nights are good fun, best suited to tourists rather than irish people. The hooley involves a tradtional irish band, irish dancers and a bit of craic. Johnnie Foxes is a great place to bring visitors to Ireland. |

Big country style in the north of the city. Drink promotions on most Monday and Thursday night. Frequented by teachers. Good hunting ground. Late night bar/DJ |

Fantastic range of beers from all over the world. Try their "Chiller" draft beer for a good alternative to the more heavily marketed beers. |

This is a great nightclub in Dublin with four floors of music and sometimes the auditorium is opened and used as a cinema. It's €12 in on fridays and €15 on saturdays but although this is above average for what you would normally pay into a club it is still not that expensive and the great thing is that the drink inside is not overly pricey. well worth a visit if you are in Dublin also keep in mind that it does not open till midnight but it is open till half 3 |

The best pub in Dublin in my opinion and one of the best pints of Guinness outside the storehouse. The pub has a real old world feal about it, if you go upstairs in the pub it feel like you have entered an old georgian house where someone has just stuck a bar in the middle of the floor. There is no other pub like this in Dublin. |

If you want Guinness then the Gravity Bar, atop the Guinness Storehouse is a great place to be. You don't have to pa |
