This means you can treat yourself to some of their fantastic French food at a fraction of the price. The menu is decidedly French, featuring dishes like trout rillette, Pork and apricot terrine, tarte tatin and creme brulee. The flavours are amazing and you get just enough food in each portion. However what won my heart was the baileys and cranberry creme brulee, definately one of the best desserts i have eaten in a long time. The staff are good and the atmosphere relaxed.close

La Mère Zou specializes in classic French cuisine and is normally quite expensive but I thought the early bird was excellent value for money. You can choose a starter, main course and dessert for €24.50. Starters included: goats cheese salad, soup, and a hot smoked salmon salad & mains were pork belly and sardines with niçoise salad. The desserts which included creme brulee and ice-cream were to die for. While the menu is not very long it changes regularly. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend the early bird as a great way to sample all that La Mère Zou has to offer.close
