We arrived slightly late for our 9.30pm booking but no table was ready for us. A table was hastiy put together upstairs. We ordered and all was fine until our starters were brough out of the kitchen and there was mass confusion over who ordered what, the staff held up each dish and called out its indian name, we were at a loss as to what each dish was. The starters were by and large cold which was disappointing, once one person sent hers back though! Mains were fine, nothing special. A sore point were the opened bottles of wine which arrived at the table unasked for and then were on the bill. Maybe it was too late on a sat nite to expect a good meal but at €65 a head i would expect more. The Dalkey version of this restaurant is far superior.close

I've been meaning to try Jaipur for a while as it always looks busy and the menu is good so we decided to pop in for a quick bite to eat last Thursday evening. The place was busy but we managed to get a table. The place is bright and airy with extra seating upstairs. The Bhatti Murgh Rizala which I had for my main course was quite watery but maybe it was supposed to be like that! The tikka masala was very tasty though and the staff were helpful and efficient. The bill came to about €70 for 2 mains with wine which while not expensive is pricier than other Indian restaurants around. Overall, the food and atmosphere was good and I would try this place again.close
