“ It was very nice, very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. It was not an inconvenient distance from city centre and the staff was wonderful. ”

“ Audrey and Jack are very good hosts, with a very sympathic welcome. Perfect for a week end in Dublin. For a next trip there, we certainly be back at Avoca House. Thanks a lot! ”

Description of Avoca House B&B
All rooms are en-suite with cable link TV, video, power showers, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities. Towels and soap are provided. We also have a large free video library. All rooms are non smoking. We have a lovely patio area to sit in if you need to smoke. You won't get better service. We are 500 yds from Fagan's pub which has the best lunch and dinner in Dublin. There are many other restaurants nearby; Indian, Chinese, Italian, Thai and Japanese all well within walking distance. All our double and twin rooms have a double and a single bed. So if you are looking for a twin and there is only a double available in the system and vice versa, you can go ahead and book it. If you are a family of three and there is no triple room available in the system, you can also book a double or a twin and pay and additional 40 Euro on arrival for the third person. Our triple rooms have a double and two single beds. Buses run every three minutes from opposite Fagan's pub. The bus stop for the airport is right outside Fagan's pub. From the airport you can take the number 16A bus which stops opposite Fagan's pub. Hollybank road where we are situated is the next turn after Fagan's pub. We are at the top of this road last house on the left. You can check in at 9 AM and leave your luggage if the room is not ready. Check out time is 11 AM. Breakfast is served from 8 AM to 10AM Buses to town run every three mins. The numbers 3, 11, 16,16A are but a few that will take you to the centre which is a mile away in about 10 mins. The national Botanical gardens are a short walk away and worth a visit after breakfast. Please note it is very important that you reconfirm your arrival time to us by email. The area is an old residential area and is very quite with 95% of residents over 40. We also sell tickets for the open bus tours which visit every major site of interest in Dublin. This is a hop on hop off bus and the tickets can be used up to a 24 hour period. We hope you have an enjoyable stay.
