A nice mid-size hostel with a comfortable common area. In a good neighbourhood with everything you need only a few blocks away. I would stay here again.

I liked staying here. The rooms had a lot of character, each painted in a different theme. And the homey sheets were great. It would be really helpful if there was wireless internet at the hostel, or more than one computer available. Thank you!

This hostel was a dive. The whole place smelt like mice and when somebody opened the fridge in the kitchen, I had to leave the room (the smell was soo bad). However, the staff were great and the rooms were spacious.

This place was a little smelly and the common room wasnt that clean. Not a bad location easy to get to from the main station okay for one night.

Everything was good. I liked that bathroom and toilets were cleaned. Maybe, security was not excellent, because one of our guy from Romania lost his camera from room. All in all, I liked Cologne, its beer, girls and of course this hostel:)

very alternative hostel which is great character - not a drunk hostel which was good, security could be improved with card access or individaully locked dorms. staff were excellent - would recommended to serious global travellers wanting an experience

Excelent place to stay, the room and bathroom were really clean, the staff really helpful with all my inquiries and questions about the city, the breakfast was good (toasts with nutella or marmalade, cereal, milk, thea, coffee, etc) and if you got into a too budget trip, there is also free pasta...

Great little hostel with very friendly staff. Only problem was that our dorm was on the main street side so it was a bit noisy. Other than that it was great, especially the kitchen!

There was a lot of mess at the entrance and in fron of the elevator, and it smelled bad. And the kitchen was messy, too. We was hesitated to have breakfast because the bottle of jelly were always open.

A very good hostel! I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Cologne. The location is excellent since there are a lot of great pubs and restaurants in the neighbourhood. There are also tram stops right next to the hostel, so getting there from the railway station is very easy.... more A very good hostel! The place is rather new and could thus still use some more decorations on the walls, but on the whole the atmosphere was nice. The facilities were all good and, contrary to what I read in some earlier feedback, there were lockers in the bedrooms. Furthermore, the owner really put his heart into running the hostel.close

fine basic hostel, only small so difficult to be fun, room doors are open to everyone, you do get a locker but not big enough for backpack.

If I'm every in Koln again I defently want to stay there. I was there in the first week it opened and while somethings weren't finsihed it was Brilliant, clean tidy, location was sweet, so close to the ubahn. Hosts were great and really friendly(sorry I can't remember your names after all this...

This is a nice hostel, though a 25-30 min. walk from the cathedral, but still, the staff is very friendly and it is very clean. Noise of trams passing by and people at the McDonald's downstairs might disturb light sleepers.

A nice hostel which was good fun when I was there at the weekend, although as a result the small kitchen/common room area got pretty packed. There is one free internet PC but the common room does not have a TV. Oh and beware the vampire in "Dragon Room" lol...

Nice staff, clean room, clean bathroom, free internet. Good location, very close to Metro stop. It's very easy to find this hostel following the directions.

Really laid-back hostel. Only rules were common sense and respect. Everyone washed their dishes and kept the common area clean because they wanted to, not because they were forced to.

One of the best hostels I've visited. Black Sheep Hostel is located right next to one of the main lines of public transportation. The hostel is clean, and the themed rooms are a blast. We were lucky enough to meet some really great people staying there as well. If I find myself back in...

I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. basic services all at extra cost on arrival. sullen, lazy staff. had to give a deposit to get a key to our room!! had to pay for our bedding, make our own beds and then they had the cheek to ask us to strip our beds when we were leaving and put the sheets out for the...
