They had great security, but some of the staff weren't very friendly and none of them could speak English very well. Our door lock had problems, so some days we couldn't unlock our door to get out or unlock it to get in. They come and clean the rooms daily which was nice.

The receptionist did not speak english, so have ready your questions in german. No internet anywhere in the hostel. Besides that, nice clean room. Definitely not good for someone who wants to meet people, but excellent for people who does not want to be bother.

This place was great, the room was clean and quiet and the staff were friendly, even if they didn't speak much English! I can see how it might be a little tricky to find, but we had no dramas.

This is not a hostel...it's a creepy apartment complex with no front desk. Just a random woman and her husband, with little kids running around, who live in a room downstairs. We didn't stay...

Our twin room was very small and basic, but did the job, and was decent value for money considering the central location. Our cabbie had an absolute mare finding the place (dropped us off at the wrong location on two occasions!) and subsequent cab journeys were equally problematic despite the central location and us carrying a map with us. Weird. Anyhow, the place is a simple ten minute walk from the main station, so if you're travelling by train, you're better off printing of a map before you travel, and then walking to/from the station - should save you a lot of hassle. A few decent (late) bars within a couple of minute's walk, and the area didn't feel at all dodgy. Wouldn't stay there with my girlfriend, but certainly did the job for a weekend of football and beer. Oh, and it's worth going just to see the truly incredible art collection. Mind-blowingly awful stuff all over the place.close

The rooms are clean and modern and the location is very central. The thing that ruined it for me was that the owner, a very strange man with a very large dog, decided to hold an extemely loud karoke night singing German christian songs with his friends into a microphone. This went on until about 4 or 5 in the morning (on a weekday when we has an early train to catch). I didn't get any sleep and from the complaints made by fellow guests, noone else did either. He also wasn't avaliable for us when we went to check out so we had noone to give our key to. A most irritating experience!close

Our room was sited on the top floor (no lift) and was the size of a single bedroom, as it was up in the attic the roof sloped leaving even less space. In it was two single beds and a camp bed all bunched up together so sticking out a toe in the middle of the night you were likely to kick your friend! We thought it a cheek selling us a bed (at a not inconsiderable cost - the most expensive place we stayed) and giving us an uncomfortable camp bed. It advertises each room having a kitchen, this is two hot plates and a fridge. No kettle. You'd also struggle to cook due to lack of space and would had to have eaten sat on the beds anyway! We spent our four nights there tripping over each other. Best avoided.close

When we arrived nobody was there and we were simply buzzed into the hotel, where there was no type of check-in. After a few minutes of standing in the hallway, a telephone rang and the person said "there may be somebody there that can let you into your room, or else somebody will be there within 5 minutes." After fifteen minutes, nobody had arrived and so I called back and was told somebody was on their way. It was at least 45 minutes before I finally checked in. So, if you like terrible service and have a lot of time to waste - this is a great hotel.close

Terribly rude unhelpful staff who among other things tried to tell me the terms and conditions of hostelworld.com did not apply to them and then over charged me and gave me a sub standard room which did not in any way live up to the claims in their advertisement on hostel world.
