1. Guesthouse Casa Pombal 90%      

   Lovely place to stay. Very cozy with friendly staff. They were very helpful! Definitely would love to go back! Breakfast was great 2 and the free access to the internet was wonderful.

   Cannot blame the hostel but Coimbra was empty. Do not go for a weekend.

   I thought this hostel was fine. It was clean enough (although my room wasn't cleaned while I was there). It is located outide the old town so a bit of a hike to the sights but it was ok. The staff were generally helpful, although weren't always knowledgeable about travel info etc which I think is...

   Good breakfast, close to railway station and to the city center.

   A step up from a standard hostel, the Almedina was booked on the hope of a firm bed, and a decent breakfast, both of which where better than expected (fresh pineapple/orange/strawberries, bacon for brekkie).

   Good points were the location, satelite TV, and the breakfast was awesome although we stayed at oslo hotel not aeminium- not sure if this was deliberate or their mistake! Bad points were the directions.
