1. Coffs Harbour YHA Backpackers Resort 89%      

   Very clean and well run, purpose built hostel. Close to CBD and beaches. Staff are very helpful. Its not full of character but I've heard horror stories about some of the other places in town so I would highly recommend this place.

2. Aussitel Backpackers 82%      

   A very clean and nice hostel. The room was cosy and roomy. Kitchen and toilet area were very clean. Atmosphere was not that good. A lot of loud and young schoolies who just hang around in a group in kitchen area. Great and helpfull staff though. So not bad at all.

   This place was about average. I think we may have gotten some bed bug bites from the sheets that were furnished...$7 BBQ was good and there was plenty. Staff was very nice and helpful. Worth the stay.

3. Coachmens Inn 81%      

   Coachmens Inn was just dandy. Although warning about the beaches would have been good. The rips are treacherous! Swim supervised between the flags only!

4. Barracuda Backpackers 72%      

   The staff seemed to live in the hostel which resuulted in a very unprofessional and uncomfortable atmosphere, especially when various 'staff' members starting swearing at each other. We found one of the guys who worked in the hostel very sleazy and when I went onto use the internet, porn videos...

5. The Plantation Hotel 64%      

   Right on Pacific Highway, not that far from the bus stop (greyhound)(7 min walk) and close to city center. Nice staff and clean facilities.
