Nice small hostel with excellent access to the Cinque Terra. More like a big apartment with kitchen and bathroom than a hostel as you don't see the staff much. Would recommend for a budget option in Cinque Terra.

It was very cold at night and I had to steal blanckets from other empty beds as there was only one per bed.

Great place to stay...but specify if you dont want to stay in the larger dorm rooms. It is the same price to stay in a 4 bed as it is 9. The fold out beds are ok. If you are a 'big person' you wont fit in the shower I had!

We were given a few options of where to stay. Really enjoyed our room, the kitchen and character of the place. Only down side was that it was directly outside from a very busy restaurant, so it was noisy till all hours, But I would stay here again. Staff were friendly and the village very...

Ended up in a room directy over a bar so VERY noisey till early hours. Also was in a four bed share and our two beds were in the dinning/kitchen area. There is plenty of sorces of accomodation about there so wouldnt recommend MARMAR at all.

all the beds should have the same qualitiy. bed nr. 3 for example... there is nearly no matress. and that's what people are paying for.

The Cinque Terre is amazing - just go! The rooms don't really matter, but this place had an excellent location and a kitchen for cooking, which was very handy.

Really depends which room they give you in this hostel, some are very very good, some arent. I had an amazing room, very spacious, extremely clean (was cleaned everyday), very very helpful staff. Couldn't have asked for anything better in the cinque terre, i'd stay there again definitely!

An excellent hostel for the price, friendly environment, right in the village centre, great rooms, standards, terrace with view, and fully equipped kitchen! One of the best hostels we stayed in!

We originally booked a 12 share hostel room and ended up only having to share with 2 others. Was fantastic. Located in the first of the 5 towns - Mar Mar was value for money, staff were helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Have already recommended this to friends!

The unit that we were put in was very clean and spacious! Thankfully we had backpacks, becasue I am sure it was 100 stairs to get to the front door from the train station. Excelent location and the staff was pleasant.

Great location! More like an apartment, small and homey which makes it easy to mix with other travellers. We were lucky enough to score our own separate room which was a bonus, only negative is that 2 out of the 10 beds are actually fold out beds. Very clean too!

We had an almost private room. It was our own room with only two other people. We had a kitchen and a bathroom with a window over looking the main street. It was awesome!

The floors were dusty, shower curtain was gross, but those were the only minor points. It was nice to have an apartment to stay in, and the location can't be beat.

This was a great place to stay. It was nice to have a kitchen with a fridge and stove to cook up some meals. Having the outside terace was also great, so you could sit out there and enjoy the view at night!

Great self contained appartment. It's a shame that the constant music blaring from the bar directly below the room was so cheesey.

Great location right out of the Riomaggiore train station tunnel. No lockers in rooms. Great view of the sea from your room, and it's unique walking through the alleyways to get to your room. Keep an eye out for Rick Steves' Christmas card bulletin board in lobby area!
