Ernest Hemingway, the world famous author of classic novels such as "A Farewell to Arms" and "For Whom the Bell Tolls" is a Chi-Town native. In this leafy Chicago suburb, you can see the birth house of the great man himself. Oak Park is understandably proud of their most famous son, although the man himself called the neighbourhood "a place of wide lawns and narrow minds." For 8 dollars you get a guided tour of the house he was born in (his father was a doctor) and entrance to the excellent museum down the road. The museum is filled with Ernest memorabilia, from rare photographs to love letters sent and received during his service in the First World War. |

Just a short review, DON'T go up this Tower unless it's a totally clear day as the experience is zero if you cant see out the windows at the top of the tower !!, There is a great museum, with great stories of the characters of Boston up at the top !! |
