   costas is a great guy. always for laughs and helpful with the things to do in the area. Saved me at the buss station after a trying trip to chania. The new place is very nice and i wish the best for he and his family.

2. Villa Venezia 87%      

   excellent hostel which suited us down to the ground. not good if you are a backpacker looking for action but fantastic if you want a quiet place to relax

   This is a very small place indeed, but the staff (which means the owner of the place) is very friendly, and the location couldn't be better, right on the gorgeous harbor of Hania.

   More a hotel that a hostel but very good value for money but it is a shame about the location as it can cost 20eu to get in the city by cab.

   Great place to stay!! Little bit on the outskirts of Chania (about 15 min cab ride to downtown) but has a private beach, pool, and apartment style rooms. Owners could not have been more friendly and it was extremely clean!

   The best character I've seen in hostel in a long time. It is adorable and newly renovated. It is right in the heart of old town in Chania. Walking distance to everything. The owner is great and very helpful. I plan to come back here at some point it was that great! One tip - bring ear...

   Nice little hotel, however the location is just terrible. They say 10 minute walk to downtown Chania, it's more like a hard 45 min walk, in the blazing heat, down a NON-SIDEWALK crazy busy street!! The "5 minute walk" to the beach, is 15 minutes down a rocky hill (beach not great either). I...
