Nice pool and spectacular views from the rooms, but also a very over-priced breakfast with not much to choose from. Helpful reception staff. We only stayed 2 nights, however, because the hotel's location was not in a very fun part of the valley during the spring time. There were only a couple of restaurants open nearby, and hardly any people around. The main town center of Chamonix was over an hour's walk away (15 minutes by train or bus). Taxi rides in the Chamonix valley are outrageously expensive and the trains and busses stop running by late afternoon, so if you want to stay out at night in the bars and restaurants in Chamonix, consider staying somewhere closer. Overall, a nice way to take in the views, but the high cost and location forced us to leave in the end.close

Everything was great in this hotel. The staff is really friendly (Just the shuttle driver seems to be in bad mood all the time) and the rooms are clean and with great view!!!

Charming facility with a spectacular view out my window. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. We arrived late and the restaurant staff very graciously stayed to serve us!

Hotel Du Bois had very friendly staff and is very close to the bus stop, which frequently serves all the resorts in the area. Be sure to pick up their entrance code if you plan on being out past 11PM; otherwise you're stuck in the cold!

Great location to Les Houches. Access to Chamonix difficult after hours, but excellent with the free shuttle service during the day.

Lovely hotel - excellent value for money - views amazing. However not great area for any sort of nightlife and taxis to Cham are expensive. Breakfast was continental - for the price a full english would have been better, but the room itself was excellent.

A nice hotel with a gret pool and sauna. They let us leave our luggage all day then have a shower before catching our train. Very nice staff, only drawback is the location. La Houchette not a very big place, although buses and trains to Chamonix available. Beautiful if you want a quite night,...
