Description of SkiBandB

The SkiBandB chalet is situated on the edge of an alpine forest near the foot of the Glacier des Bossons in Les Bossons (4km down the road from the centre of Chamonix). The chalet itself has been recently renovated and received a few luxury additions in the process, including a hot-tub! We have 6 bedrooms including 2 family rooms, 2 double rooms, a twin room and a bunk room. 4 of these rooms have ensuite shower rooms and we can sleep up to 18 people. SkiBandB (AKA SummerBandB in the warmer months) opened for business in January 2009 with the aim of providing accommodation with a little luxury and a laid-back atmosphere for those looking to enjoy the Chamonix Valley. After laying on a continental breakfast in the morning (with some Irish porridge available on request), we'll send you on your way to explore the mountains with a couple of handy hints and then have the hot-tub up and running for when you return from a hard days fun! In the evening you can chill-out in front of our open fire during the cold winter months or catch the last few rays of sunshine on our decking in the summer. The majority of our business is based on a 'bed & breakfast' format, however we are flexible so we can offer self-catered/catered too, subject to availability. On the same flexible note we can also provide discounts for groups or long stays. *Please note that the chalet is on a 'country' road, so when driving to the chalet in winter it's advisable to have snow tyres, or at the very least snow chains*

AMAZING!! It is a beautiful cabin, in the woods, fireplace, the whole nine yards. The dude is cool, Irish, handsome (no homo) and single (for the ladies, trying to hook ya up dude). The hot-tub is amazing for after boardin, everything is clean and well kept. Breakfast is ready when you get up in... more

Phil & Rob made us very welcome and went out of their way to be helpful. Although the location is a bit out of the way we were always offered a lift into town but we chose to either walk or catch the bus or train. It was like a home away from home.

Excellant place to stay! Very friendly staff. Everyone was very helpful, even drove us into town and to the grocery store. Only downside is that it is outside the main town of Chamonix, and although the bus and trains are easy to take into town, the last one runs at about 7:30pm. We were told... more

Easy access to Chamonix on the Alpes train, took about 5 mins. Fully equipped kitchen for dinners, tea and coffee. Close to walking trail to Glacier. Phil looked after us and we would definetely recommend to any age group.

Recommended to many. The keeper was very kind in the effort he put forth. Very clean! There is a hot tub and a kitchen to use if you like. The downside is that you have to walk about 10mins to the bus, which then will bring you to town at the cost of 1,50 euro. If you are driving its no... more

Great place to stay near Chamonix. Facilities include good kitchen and fantastic jacuzzi on the deck. Breakfast is also very good and is left out the night before for those early Alpine starts. Happily reccomend this place to others!

This bed and breakfast was exactly what I was looking for in Chamonix. It was still close to the town, but not right smack dab in the middle. This made for a very relaxing location and it was especially neat to be right at the bottom of the mountain. The staff were extremely friendly and went... more

Listen F*$#%! SkiBandB rocks! Phil, Simon and Rob ROCK! Service is above and beyond the call of duty. They are everything they say they are and more. Not quite in town, but they'll give you a lift (in a truly s*xy vehicle, if you're lucky!), breakfast was great, the hot tub was hot, the glacier... more

If Heaven is half as nice as the SkiB&B we're going to start going to church. The next time we come to Chamonix we won't bother to look elsewhere; we'll book here straight away. Do yourself a favor and do the same.
