Cesky Krumlov Reviews ( 50 reviews )

We went to Munich, Slazburg, Prague and Krakow. We spent one night in Krumlov- it was the best part of our trip- romantic and breath taking- please make this a stop on your eastern europe travels |

The town itself is picture postcard perfect. It is located on the Vlatlav river and the castle, complete with bear pit dominates the town.
The town is a UNESCO preserved mediaeval architectonical historical monument.
It's easy to get around and if you are fond of soup in a bowl and lots of meat then the lack of good places to eat wont bother you too much. |

Krumlov is really a nice place for travelling. You can enjoy the peace and silence and the classic building in this little town without rush. A great relax in here!! |

i heard about cesky in my travels and i am so glad i decided to go. stayed 4 night sbut gcould of stayed a week. i went horseriding, rafting and partying the whole time. Lots of interesting art exhibitions always in town. they were all awesome and i am not really into art!! it is also very very cheap. dont bother buying supermarket food cause its cheaper to eat and drink out. |

its a little of the beaten track and not many people have heard of it, but once you cross through the gates of the old town you know you've made a wise choice. Cesky Krumlov is amazing. |

Cesky Krumlov is a big medieval town set in a lovely landscape and full of interesting sites. Highly recommended |

Lovely town- as beautiful as we expected. Only stayed for a couple of days, but felt that was actually enough to see the sights, as it's just seeing the town itself that is the highlight. |

Cesky Krumlov is THE single most beautyful small town in Central Europe. It is lying in a marvellous geographic scenery within green mountains on a double S curve of the Vltava river. Given its unique place you can really feel yourself like being 500 years behind, from the old town, and the castle the views of the city does not contain anything which would disturb the historic feeling (except some signs for the very limited traffic). Despite the old town is small (maybe 300 meters wide?), it contains everything what makes a town, including a giant castle, nice river with a lot of funny bridges, 4 bier factories, two of them still alive, watermill, old pubs and so on. If you are in Czech or Austria, give it a day to check out. |

This is a very beautiful medieval town. I strongly suggest renting a raft and going down the river. |

Cute little town. We stayed 2 nights, prob 1 night too many. Be careful when booking tours through the Information Centre, both of ours got cancelled on the day of tour. Great vegetarian restaurant (Laiboo?) - food yummy and good price but the place odd with NO atmosphere and we had to hunt down a waiter! Take the shuttle bus to Linz - a bargain at 499 and only takes 1.5 hours. |

the medieval setting are still there which is really attractive to me. |

If you ever visit Czesky Krumlov, you must take a kayak down the Vltava river! It is amazing! Not to mention how much fun it is to ride down the Rapids. |

Nice place, small, i was ready to leave after 1.5 days but it was good while it lasted. would be better in summer with more backpackers and the entertainment on the river. i got the feeling i was about 2 weeks too late. |

This is my favourite little village in Europe. Great place to chill out and relax away from the hussle and bussle of major cities. A HUGE castle to check out and lots of small paved streets with touisty shops and places to eat and drink.
A must for anyone in this area! |

A marvellous place - very small but an incredible amount of things to do! Go cruising down the river, check out the castle or (my favourite) choose one of the many eateries by the river and chill out with some super cheap, super good beer and amazingly cheap food! |
|
|
 |
go to laibon, the vegetarian restaurant. the food is fab and the owner is wonderful |
|
|
 |
Verynice place to spend a few nights. Great looking castle and town, fill your quota of pretty town photos. Not as manz tourists as Prague smaller and its winter. |

The rates were very reasonable and you could really get a Czech experience. There were plenty of bars staying open late if you are into the party scene, and plenty of authentic, and more modern shops to browse in. There were sights famous to the town and plenty of beautiful hikes to take if you just wanted the view. The town was small so walking everywhere was easy and of course, affordable! There were great produce markets and grocery stores if you wanted to make your own dinner, but also authentic Czech restaurants where they grill your food over an open fire!!! Hostel Skippy provided a place to just hang with a cup of coffee and a book, and in town there were tons of cafes to do the same! |

Cesky Krumlov is extremely small. Day trip is enough. But if you want to stay and enjoy a peaceful place, Cesky Krumlov is a god choice |

If you're tired of the touristy hustle and bustle of Prague head south to the picturesque Cesky Krumlov, Ok it's about 4 hours on the train, but it is worth it. The village doesn't seem to have changed in the past 100 years, overlooked by the most impressive castle I've seen in Czech Rep and surrounded by the meandering river, this is a lovely place to kick back and get some well earned R&R. May not be your cup of tea if you're looking for clubbing central, but for restaurants, good beer, and plenty of 'authentic' shops this is a must. |
