A great little hostel, it felt just like home, as we were the only ones staying there. It's close to town, the river, and horse-riding.

This was the best hostel we've stayed at s far!! The staff were amazing and did everything they possibly could including picking us up from the end of rafting! We got a private room! It was brilliant! I would recommend it to anyne!!!

Tho i never actually met Tereza, she made sure my stay went as smoothly as possible so thank you :) The hostel was really clean and it had everything a hostel should have.

great hostel. The staff were awesome, really relaxed, rafting at your front door. left a bag there and staff did all they could to help, sent to Scotland free of charge. Cannot speak highly enough of this place.

This was such a cute hostel, and with enormous rooms..! but if ur looking for a party this probably isnt the best place. u can go out and party but rarely did we see anyone else around in the hostel. it was very quiet.. but still good, i would reccommend it! btw. do the rafting down the river (at...

Awesome place right by the river. We recommend it & would definitely stay again.. Do the river rafting. Raft's are supplied by the staff. Don't be late 4 checkin or risk losin' a ball..

Nice hostel, bout 5 mins walk from main square. Staff are nice and friendly, showed us some good places to eat and drink. Rooms are nice, beds comfy.

This place is quite a walk to/from the town which is a pain. The place has a nice homely feel and the owners have lots of character. not very social, but an ok place if you don't mind the walk.

This hostel is quite a way from the centre of town. Its run by a crusty old man who was not very friendly. We had booked a 4 bed dorm, but ended up in a 5 bed dorm. I would not recommend this hostel.

This hostel is not reccommended for the single traveller - those travelling alone should take a look at the adjoining Havana Hostel, which provides loads more fun. That being said, Egon is can provide a clean bed, located a short walk from the town just on the riverbank.

A GREAT hostel. We loved everything about it. It is a good hike from the train and bus station, but only about 10 minutes from the center. The staff was so friendly. It was a very cozy setting. I wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay here again.

An old place, very strange if you consider the neighbourg Havana, which is the same hostel in fact... It's not really clean and the bathroom is horrible. Bring a sleeping bag if you don want to die freezing. Prefer something in the center because the prices are almost the the same.

Very helpful staff - good advice on pubs and food and where to go. The hostel is a little of the centre but the walk in is good. A great hostel in a great town.

We had a great stay and would come back to Hostel Egon/Havanna again. The four bedroom we stayed in was very spacious with a couch. Their friendliness and pick up sevice from the Train Station made it extra special.

The gentleman who welcomed me to the hostel was very helpful and also advised me of the facilities available and where to find the major sites in the city centre. He helped to make my stay more enjoyable with his great local knowledge and good sense of humour. I would advise hostelworld.com to disasociate themselves completely with Hostel Egon and its twin hostel, Hostel Havana. On arriving we were told by the guy on the desk that they had taken a bigger booking and that our room was needed even though we had booked with you almost 2 months previously.... more I would advise hostelworld.com to disasociate themselves completely with Hostel Egon and its twin hostel, Hostel Havana. On arriving we were told by the guy on the desk that they had taken a bigger booking and that our room was needed even though we had booked with you almost 2 months previously. When the manager arrived he lied to us and told us the hostel was having "technical difficulties' and that he had arranged alternative accomodation for us for the same price. He also told us that he had emailed us about this during the previous week - he had not.We agreed and paid as it was a weekend night.we were then driven to a prefabricated block way out in the suberbs that seemed like some kind of workers home. There were absolutely no tourists around and nobody who spoke any english. It also seemed to be quite a rough area. The list of prices on our door stated that the price was 400kc a night for a double room- we had been charged 600kc by hostel egon and were given no apology for the inconvenience and isolation of the area. It was at least 1.5 km to the old town and we were on foot. after the manager had dropped us off this was the last we heard from him- and by the way he was very obviously stoned. I have always found your website to be brilliant and all the hostels up to standard, we just thought you should know about this so that it doesn't happen to any more of your customers.close

Not in the centre of town, but only a short walk to it, and right across the road from the river. Because it is out of town a tiny bit, is much cheaper, and the staff were very helpful.

We met some great people in our travels through Cesky Krumlov. Thanks to everyone who made it such a wonderful experience. No complaints whatsoever on Hostel Egon. Great deal for the night.
